The NDMU CMRE office joyfully celebrated the 237th birthday of St. Marcellin Champagnat! The celebration began with the heartfelt melodies of a traditional Harana, followed by a graceful Liturgical Mass, and concluded with the joy of fellowship as everyone shared a meal at one table.

Today, we celebrate the 237𝒕𝒉 𝒃𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑺𝒕. 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒈𝒏𝒂𝒕✨. The celebration started with a harana led by Montagne scholars together with CMRE faculty and staff.

Earlier today, the NDMU Gymnasium was buzzing with energy as we welcomed future Maristas to our home! From sharing the mission of the Campus Ministry Religious Education to introducing the Montagne Scholarship, it was a day filled with smiles, service, and spirit.

We are so excited to see these new faces join our growing family. To all who visited our booth—thank you for your curiosity and your heart! 💙💛

The Marist community and the academic world mourn the passing of a visionary leader, Br. Crispin P. Betita, FMS. A man of deep faith and tireless dedication, Br. Crispin’s life was defined by his commitment to education, service, and the Marist charism. While his influence spanned decades, his transformative leadership as the University President of Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) from 1999 to 2006 remains a cornerstone of the institution’s history.

As we look back on the years 1999–2006, we see more than just a timeline of professional achievements; we see the heart of a man who believed that education was the most powerful tool to change the world.

"To bring up children properly, we must love them, and love them all equally." – St. Marcellin Champagnat

Br. Crispin lived this truth every day. His journey has ended, but his light continues to shine through the lives of the "Marist-made" professionals serving the world today.
