Prayer for the beginning of Lent:

God of goodness and mercy,
Hear my prayer as I begin this Lenten journey with you. Let me be honest with myself as I look into my heart and soul, noticing the times I turn away from you. Guide me as I humbly seek to repent and return to your love. May humility guide my efforts to be reconciled with you and live forever in your abundant grace. Transform me this Lent, heavenly Father. Give me the strength to commit myself to grow closer to you each day.

Amen.

IN MISSION WITH ALL THE SAINTLY WITNESSES TO CHRIST

Today, we mark 20 days before the celebration of the Pandaigdigang Araw ng mga Kabataan 2021 at the diocesan level on Christ the King Sunday (November 21) and 65 days before the National Youth Day PH celebration (December 16 yearly), also at the diocesan level. How beautiful that today, we celebrate all our friends in heaven who, while here on earth, stood up for Christ as His witnesses--as we too are called!

Fellow youth ministers, let us prepare well for these youth ministry milestones in our universal and local Churches not only by reading the Message of Pope Francis for the 36th World Youth Day 2021 and the CBCP-ECY Message for the NYD2021, but also by studying and using the NYD2021 Formation Program which we have emailed to all diocesan youth ministries and members of the Federation of National Youth Organizations (FNYO) last October 24.

In addition, may we echo our invitation to the online orientation on the NYD2021 Formation Program this November 06; the invitation and registration instructions to this were also emailed to the ECY Network last October 28 (registration deadline is November 04).
