The ultimate answer to our wandering is not simply โ€œtry harder.โ€
It is Jesus.

โ€œI am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.โ€โ€”John 14:6

The world offers many ways to live.

Jesus says, โ€œI am the way.โ€

The world offers many versions of truth.

Jesus says, โ€œI am the truth.โ€

The world offers temporary pleasures that eventually leave us empty.

Jesus says, โ€œI am the life.โ€

A sober mind is not merely a mind that has stopped pursuing the world. It is a mind that has found its satisfaction in Christ.

The prodigal came to himself when he realized that his father's house was better than the far country.

And we come to our senses when we realize:

Nothing this world offers can compare with Christ.

The world promises life but leads us to death.
Christ leads us from death into life.

So come to your senses.
Leave the far country.
Return to the Father.
And live in Christ.

Queniebell, thank you for faithfully serving the Lord and for being a leader who leads not only through words, but through your example. Your heart for people, your commitment to ministry, and your willingness to serve are a beautiful reflection of your love for Christ.

Today, we thank God for the gift of your life and for the blessing you are to the City Hope family.

Jhana, we are grateful not only for your presence but for your faithfulness in serving Christ. You are one of our core leaders, faithfully making disciples, serving and leading in our Music Ministry, and growing in wisdom as you pursue your studies in Psychology.

We pray that as you continue to grow academically, personally, and spiritually, you will always remain rooted in Christ and surrendered to His calling. May God use your gifts, your heart for people, your leadership, and your life to point many others to Jesus.
