GOOD FRIDAY
As we walk together in the Procession of the 14 Stations of the Cross here in GKK Sta. Maria Chapel of Sitio Dunga Lahek, we are not just remembering a story from the past—we are entering into the journey of Christ’s love, sacrifice, and mercy.
Each station reflects a moment of pain, humility, and surrender. Jesus falls, is judged, is burdened, and is stripped of everything—yet He continues to walk. In every step He takes, we see not only His suffering, but His deep love for us. This procession reminds us that life, too, is a journey filled with trials, burdens, and moments when we feel like falling. But just like Christ, we are called to rise again, to continue, and to trust in God’s greater purpose.
As a community, walking side by side, we carry not only our personal crosses but also the struggles of one another. The Stations invite us to reflect: Who do we become in Christ’s journey? Are we like Simon who helps carry the cross? Veronica who wipes His face? Or do we sometimes become like those who judge and condemn?
In this sacred walk, we are reminded that suffering is not the end. The Cross leads to resurrection. Pain leads to hope. Darkness leads to light.
May this procession strengthen our faith, deepen our compassion, and renew our commitment to follow Christ—not only in moments of prayer, but in our daily lives. Let us carry our crosses with courage, knowing that we do not walk alone. Christ walks with us.
And in every step we take, may we find not only sacrifice—but also love, healing, and salvation.
