This is to inform the general public, specially the congregation of 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 - 𝐊𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫, that our 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 on 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 (Sunday) will begin as early as 𝟓:𝟑𝟎 𝐀𝐌 due to the scheduled 9 AM to 11 AM power interruption announced by SOCOTECO I.

𝐀 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐀𝐌𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐀𝐋𝐌𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐘 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓!

𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐎 𝐍𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐎 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐓 , a 𝟕𝟐-𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐧, used to carry around with him his faith entrusted in a "𝙝𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙠" or "𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜-𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜" (charm/amulet) for the longest time — thinking that it would ward off evil and provide him with strength. He used it for years, believing that it was his armor against evil. ⚔️ Yet, inwardly he knew he had something lacking. Regardless of how hard he clung to it, fear and doubt lingered.

When Wilfredo listened to the strong message of Acts 2:38, everything changed. The Lord's Word opened his eyes to the reality: "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." ✝️ He understood that no man-made object could provide true salvation or protection — the Name of Jesus Christ alone is able to save.

With a heart full of belief, Wilfredo turned away from his past and was baptized in Jesus' Name Christ ✨. Ever since, he turned away from old theology and now walks fearlessly in the new life God has provided for him. He proclaims to all: "No other name can save and guard us but the Name of Jesus alone!" ❤️

Now Wilfredo is a living witness to God's power to change. What had provided temporary assurance has now been taken over by God's peace, permanent hope, and inseparable guarding in Christ.

Wilfredo's story is a reminder for us that it is not too late to receive the salvation plan of Jesus Christ. It is not too late to accept and repent to be saved in Jesus' Name!

𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐘𝐒𝐓 𝐎𝐑 𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐑: 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐋 𝐅𝐎𝐎𝐋𝐒' 𝐃𝐀𝐘?

April Fools’ Day, merely, is just tricking within the context of fooling and pranking. It just seems harmless and fun. Who wouldn’t love to take jokes nowadays? In April Fools’ Day, people are given the chance to “act the fool” or to “play the fool” But this whole context can be a bit more complicated among Christians. It goes against the values of Good Christianity as the “day” is relying on deception and trickery.

God is the Author of wisdom, and He expects his servants to seek for His wisdom (𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝟏:𝟓). He neither agreed to foolishness nor encouraged playing around with the fools.

The nature of April Fools’ Day is in the form of deception for entertainment. But here’s what the Bible has to say about deception and falsehood.

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐬 𝟐𝟒:𝟗 𝐊𝐉𝐕 says, “The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.” This is a reminder for people, especially Christians, who participate in April Fools’ Day to be cautious of being a scorner to foolishness.

We can be a catalyst to seek for God’s wisdom but not of being a scorner of foolishness.

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐬 𝟏𝟐:𝟐𝟐 𝐊𝐉𝐕 says, “Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.” Harmless jokes meant for fun aren’t necessarily sinful as long as it does not spread falsehood and/or speak about profound deception. Because “lying lips are abomination to the Lord”. “Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another” (𝐄𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟒:𝟐𝟓 𝐊𝐉𝐕)

Let us be careful in everything that we do because it can harm us even if we are just joking around. Remember that it is written in 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐬 𝟐𝟔:𝟏𝟖-𝟏𝟗,” (18) As a mad man who casteth firebrands, arrows, and death, (19) So is the man that deceiveth his neighbour, and saith, Am not I in sport?”

“Am I not in sport”, in other translations, is quoted as “I was only joking”.

Also just wanna share this verse in Proverbs 16:25 KJV, “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” If we think it is right to do things like this, then we should think multiple times and pray about it because these things that we think is right, may bring us to death.

To end this post with clear intentions towards our brothers and sisters in Christ, let us be mindful to everything we do and conform with. “Kining kaliibutan, dili nato puluy-an.” Instead of doing things and conforming with the world and its trends, we should rather spread the Wisdom that God has given us. Let us impart things that are necessary and applicable because not everything that is within the scope is applicable for us. There are good things that we know, within the knowledge and wisdom that God has given us, are applicable and perfect will of God. 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏𝟐:𝟐 𝐊𝐉𝐕 says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

From the beginning, God has given us the freedom to choose. Which one do you choose, 𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐘𝐒𝐓 𝐎𝐑 𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐑?
