We are pleased to unveil the official logo of Lakaw Amoma, The Discipleship System of the Davao Episcopal Area of The United Methodist Church.

Lakaw Amoma, which means "A Journey of Care," reflects our shared commitment to intentionally nurture disciples of Jesus Christ through a culture of care, accountability, leadership development, and missional engagement. (Please refer to the attached image for the explanation and symbolism of the official Lakaw Amoma logo.)

We encourage all local churches, districts, Annual Conferences, and organizations within the Davao Episcopal Area to use this official logo in your presentations, publications, social media posts, training materials, information campaigns, and all other Lakaw Amoma-related activities.

A third wave of relief operations for earthquake-affected communities on July 25, 2026 reached families in Barangay Tango, Municipality of Glan, Sarangani Province and communities of Sapu Masla, Malapatan, Tango, New Aklan, and Mudan, providing much-needed assistance to 211 families. Each family received food packs and drinking water as they continue to recover from the effects of the recent earthquake.

The relief mission was made possible through the Office of the Bishop of the Davao Episcopal Area in partnership with Wesleyan University-Philippines, the College of Bishops of The United Methodist Church, the East Mindanao Philippines Annual Conference, First United Methodist Church Dubai, and was facilitated by the Central United Methodist Church General Santos assisted by the Southwest Mindanao Philippines Annual Conference volunteers. The distribution began with a prayer led by Rev. Jonathan Ulanday, followed by the orderly distribution of relief goods. Volunteers (church workers and lay) also served warm arroz caldo. Through this, the team offered not only physical but also spiritual nourishment and hope amid calamities.
