Day three of fasting in the month of Shawwal, spent in unity as we prepare and share iftar together with the youth—each task done with cooperation, sincerity, and a shared intention to please Allah. From arranging the food to waiting patiently for the time to break the fast, every moment reflects discipline, teamwork, and gratitude for the blessings we receive.
As we sit together and break our fast, the atmosphere is filled with warmth, reflection, and a strong sense of brotherhood. The presence of the youth adds meaning to the gathering, as they actively take part not only in preparing the meal but also in embracing the values of patience, humility, and devotion.
Even more beautiful is how we come together right after, standing shoulder to shoulder to perform Salatul Maghrib in congregation. In that moment, hearts are united, rows are aligned, and the purpose of our fasting becomes even clearer—to strengthen our connection with Allah and with one another.
These shared experiences leave a lasting impact, shaping the character of the next generation and reminding us that worship is not only an individual act, but a collective journey. Truly, fasting in Shawwal becomes more meaningful when it is lived, practiced, and cherished together.
