After a month-long series, โ€œ๐—›๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ ๐—ช๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฆ๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜ ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐˜†๐˜€ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—–๐—ต๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ฒ๐˜€,โ€ we have been reminded through Godโ€™s Word of the message Jesus gave to the Seven Churches of Revelation and the lessons they hold for us today.

Jesus calls us to return to our first love and not allow our service to become empty or routine. Our service must always flow from a genuine love for Christ. We must never become so busy doing things for Jesus that we forget to love Jesus Himself.

๐—–๐—ต๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ต ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—ฆ๐—บ๐˜†๐—ฟ๐—ป๐—ฎ
Jesus calls us to remain faithful even in suffering and hardship. Faithfulness to Christ is more important than comfort or an easy life. Even when following Christ becomes difficult, we are called to remain faithful until the end.

๐—–๐—ต๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ต ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—ฃ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ด๐—ฎ๐—บ๐˜‚๐—บ
Jesus calls us to repent and stand firm against compromise. We must never change or abandon Godโ€™s truth just to fit in with the culture. Our faith should influence the culture, not allow the culture to weaken our faith.

๐—–๐—ต๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ต ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—ง๐—ต๐˜†๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ
Jesus calls us to hold fast to what is good and true. Love and grace should never become excuses for tolerating sin. True love corrects what is wrong while continuing to show grace and compassion.

๐—–๐—ต๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ต ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐˜€
Jesus calls us to wake up and strengthen what remains. A good reputation before people cannot replace genuine spiritual life before God. What matters most is not how alive we appear to others, but how alive we truly are in Christ.

๐—–๐—ต๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ต ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—ฃ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ฝ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฎ
Jesus calls us to hold fast and remain faithful despite our limitations. Faithfulness to God can open doors that He has prepared for us. We should not let our small beginnings or weaknesses stop us from trusting Godโ€™s purpose.

๐—–๐—ต๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ต ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—Ÿ๐—ฎ๐—ผ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ
Jesus calls us to reject lukewarm faith and become passionate for Him. He desires wholehearted devotion, not a comfortable faith that lacks commitment. God wants us to follow Him with a sincere and wholehearted devotion, not simply when it is convenient.

As another Sunday comes, may we continue to listen to what Jesus is saying to His Church. May His Word not only be something we hear, but something we live.

Today, we share in the sorrow felt across Zamboanga following the recent shooting incident that has brought fear and sorrow once again. Behind the news are real people, families, students, teachers, and loved ones who are now carrying pain that words cannot easily explain.

How many more lives must be shaken before we take the time to notice the pain people may be carrying in silence?

A school should be a place where young people learn, dream, laugh, and feel safe. No student should have to wonder if they will make it home. Sometimes, a simple act of kindness, a conversation, or taking the time to notice someone can matter more than we realize.
