1 Thessalonians 5:12-23 NIV
[12] Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. [13] Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. [14] And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. [15] Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else. [16] Rejoice always, [17] pray continually, [18] give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. [19] Do not quench the Spirit. [20] Do not treat prophecies with contempt [21] but test them all; hold on to what is good, [22] reject every kind of evil. [23] May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. [45] Unya gipasakay dayon ni Jesus ang iyang mga tinun-an sa sakayan. Gipauna niya sila ngadto sa Betsaida sa tabok sa lanaw samtang gipapauli niya ang mga tawo. [46] Tapos siya makapanamilit kanila, mitungas siya sa usa ka bungtod aron pag-ampo. [47] Nianang pagkagabii ang sakayan didto na sa taliwala sa lanaw ug si Jesus nag-inusara sa bungtod. [48] Nakita niya ang iyang mga tinun-an nga naglisod sa ilang pagbugsay kay sungsungon man ang hangin. Nianang pagkakaadlawon giadto sila ni Jesus nga naglakaw sa tubig. Mosaylo lang unta siya kanila [49] apan sa ilang pagkakita kaniya nga naglakaw sa tubig, naghunahuna sila nga kadto usa ka multo. [50] Naniyagit sila tungod sa kahadlok. Apan miingon dayon si Jesus kanila, “Ayaw kamo kahadlok! Salig kamo; ako kini!” [51] Unya misakay siya sa sakayan uban kanila ug milurang ang hangin. Nahibulong pag-ayo ang iyang mga tinun-an ug naglibog sa nahitabo. [52] Wala sila makasabot sa kahulogan sa milagro sa pan ug ang ilang hunahuna wala gayod makatugkad niadto.

1 Mga Taga-Tesalonica 5:4-11 RCPV
[4] Apan kamo, mga igsoon, wala magpuyo diha sa kangitngit busa dili kamo makalitan sa maong Adlaw nga moabot sama sa usa ka kawatan. [5] Kamong tanan iya sa kahayag ug iya sa adlaw. Dili kita iya sa gabii o iya sa kangitngit. [6] Busa dili kita mangatulog sama sa uban kondili magtukaw ug magmaligdong kita. [7] Kasagaran ang mga tawo matulog sa gabii, ug sa gabii usab sila mangahubog. [8] Apan kay kita iya man sa adlaw, angay kita magmaugdang. Kinahanglan nga ang pagtuo ug paghigugma himoon natong sama sa taming sa dughan ug ang atong paglaom sa kaluwasan sama sa helmet. [9] Ang Dios wala magpili kanato aron kita iyang silotan kondili aron maluwas pinaagi sa atong Ginoong Jesu-Cristo. [10] Gihatag niya ang iyang kinabuhi alang kanato aron kita mabuhi uban kaniya, buhi man kita o patay inigbalik niya. [11] Tungod niini pagdinasigay ug pagtinabangay kamo sama sa inyong gihimo karon.

Mga Hebreo 11:8-12 RCPV
[8] Tungod sa pagtuo misugot si Abraham sa dihang gipaadto siya sa Dios sa usa ka nasod nga gisaad sa Dios nga ihatag kaniya. Gibiyaan niya ang iyang kaugalingong nasod bisan wala siya masayod asa siya paingon. [9] Pinaagi sa pagtuo mipuyo siya sa nasod nga gisaad sa Dios kaniya ingon nga usa ka langyaw. Nagpuyo siya sa mga tolda sama ni Isaac ug ni Jacob nga nakadawat sa samang saad gikan sa Dios. [10] Kay nagpaabot si Abraham sa siyudad nga ang Dios mismo maoy nagplano ug nagtukod. Mao kini ang siyudad nga ang mga patukoranan dili gayod mapukan. [11] Tungod sa pagtuo nahimo si Abraham nga usa ka amahan bisan tuod ug tigulang na siya kaayo ug si Sara dili na makapanamkon. Misalig siya nga tumanon sa Dios ang iyang gisaad. [12] Bisan siya daw patay na gayod, mitungha gikan niining tawhana ang mga kaliwat nga sama kadaghan sa mga bituon sa kalangitan ug mga balas sa kabaybayonan.

Through Scripture, we are called to love one another and to remember that the Lord alone is our strength and refuge. May His Word continue to guide our thoughts, shape our hearts, and direct our lives.
