Pope Leo XIV has appointed Knights of Columbus Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly as a member of the Vatican’s Dicastery for the Laity, the Family, and Life.

May this new responsibility continue to strengthen the Church’s mission in promoting family, faith, human life, and the active participation of the laity.

Pope Leo XIV has appointed Knights of Columbus Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly as a member of the Dicastery for the Laity, the Family, and Life. The Vatican announced Kelly’s appointment on Aug. 25.

The dicastery was created by Pope Francis in 2016 to promote, as stated in its statutes, “the apostolate of the lay faithful, the pastoral care of the family and its mission according to God’s plan and for the safeguard and support of human life.” The dicastery is also the Vatican office responsible for organizing the international World Youth Day (WYD).

The 144th Supreme Convention of the Knights of Columbus is almost here, and you can be part of it no matter where you are.

From Aug. 4–6, thousands of Knights will gather in Denver for days of prayer, fraternity, and leadership as the Order celebrates its mission, conducts its business, recognizes outstanding councils and members, and looks ahead to the future.

Blessed Michael J. McGivney (1852–1890) was an American Catholic parish priest and the founder of the Knights of Columbus, the world's largest Catholic fraternal benefit society. He is celebrated for championing the family, supporting immigrants, and establishing an organization that provides financial security to widows and orphans.

Nakibahagi ang mga kapatid ng Knights of Columbus sa mainit na pagtanggap at paggalang sa pagdalaw ng Nuestra Señora de la Asuncion de Maragondon sa Fatima Shrine bilang bahagi ng Dalaw Asuncion sa Diyosesis ng Imus.

Ang makasaysayang pagdalaw na ito ay bahagi ng paghahanda para sa nalalapit na ika-399 na Taunang Kapistahan ng Mahal na Patrona at ng pagdiriwang ng ikaapat na sentenaryo (400 taon) ng Parokya ng Nuestra Señora de la Asuncion sa Maragondon, Cavite.

Bilang mga kabalyero ni Kristo at tagapagtanggol ng pananampalataya, kami ay kaisa ng sambayanan sa pagpaparangal sa Mahal na Birheng Maria at sa pagpapatibay ng debosyon at pagkakaisa ng mga mananampalataya.

Nawa’y sa pamamagitan ng kanyang mapagmahal na pamamagitan ay patuloy tayong gabayan sa landas ng pananampalataya, paglilingkod, at pagmamahal sa Diyos.

Nuestra Señora de la Asuncion de Maragondon, ipanalangin mo kami.

Mula sa pagkakatatag bilang isang parokya hanggang sa pagiging Diocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima Binakayan ngayon, patuloy na naging tahanan ito ng panalangin at pag-asa para sa sambayanan ng Binakayan at mga karatig-pook.

Umaalingawngaw ang tugtog, sigawan, at panalangin habang buong saya at debosyong nakiisa ang sambayanan sa Karakol. Sa bawat hakbang ng prusisyon at indak ng pananampalataya, muling ipinakita ang buhay na tradisyon ng pagkakaisa at pagmamahal kay Imang. 🙏✨
