Mga IgsOon ko sa Ginoo,
Maayong gabii po.

TOmorrow wOrship service nato po, dili lang ordinaryOng Domingo o usa ka date sa kalendaryo nato sa Simbahan.

Ugma usa ka divine appOintment O usa ka pagtawag sa Ginoo mismo sa matag usa kanato.
The first Sunday of Lent, diin gipahinumdOman kita sa Diyos sa paduOl ngadto Niya.
Dili lang pagbalik sa simbahan — kOndi pagbalik sa kasingkasing nga bug-os alang Kaniya.

So, ang challenge nato nga pangutana karOng gabhiOna mao kini!

Kung si Cristo wala magduha-duha pag-adto sa krus para kanatong tanan, nganOng kita magduha-duha pa pag-adto sa simbahan para Kaniya?

We are busy, yes.
We are tired, yes tanan kita.
Pero ang atOng kakapOy bisan sige ulan dili mas labaw sa sakripisyo ni Cristo.

Ang atOng kahuot sa scheduled ug sa sige ulan dili mas bug-at sa krus nga Iyang gidala didto sa kalbaryo kanhi alang kanimo ug kanako.
Lent is nOt a season fOr spectators.
But it is a season for surrendered hearts to Jesus.

And membership Renewal Month reminds us:
Ang pagkamiyembro dili lang pangalan sa listahan.
Dili lang ID card.
It is a covenant.
It is a commitment.
It is a calling.
Kung tinuod nga si Cristo mao ang atOng Ginoo,
then wOrship is nOt optional — it is essential.
It is not cOnvenience, but it is cOnviction.

Ugma, magakitaay kita mga IgsuOn po, ayaw tugOti nga ang imOng lingkuranan magpabilin nga bakante.
Ayaw tugOti nga ang imOng pag-ampo mahimOng hilOm tungOd sa kakulang sa presensya.
Ayaw tugOti nga ang imOng relasyon sa Ginoo ma-stuck sa “next Sunday.”

Mga Igsoon,
The wilderness is real.
Temptations are real.
Spiritual dryness is real.
Pero ang grasya sa Ginoo mas labaw ka tinuod.
And grace meets us in worship.

Grace meets us in cOmmunity.
Grace meets us when we show up.
So tOmorrow, choose presence over excuses.
Choose devOtion over distraction.
Choose worship over wOrry.
Kay basin ang panalangin nga imOng giampo, naghulat ra diay sa simbahan.

Magkita ta ugma ha.
NOt because your PastOr is calling but because God is calling.

Mga IgsuOn kOng magtiayon sa Iglesyang local sa UCCP Mabantao .

Ang grasya ug kalinaw sa Ginoo maga-uban kanatOng tanan!

Ugmang adlawa, adlawng Domingo dili lang kini ordinaryOng pagsimba nato. Espesyal kini nga higayOn sa atOng Renewal of Vows ug Membership Renewal Celebration usab.

Matahum kini tungOd kay opOrtunidad kini nga kita, isip bana ug asawa, mobarOg pag-usab atubangan sa Ginoo ug moingon:
"Ginoo, pilion gihapon namo ang usag usa. Ug pilion gihapon namo Ikaw."

Hinaot ubay-ubah kita po, kay ang kaminyoon dili lang nagbarOg sa pagbati, kundili sa paningkamOt, pag-ampo, pagpasaylo, ug pag-inilagaray nga mag-uban.

Ang pagsimba usab nagpalig-on sa panaghiusa sa kanato ingOn nga magtiayon tungOd kay kung si Cristo anaa sa sentro, ang gugma mOlig-on, ang pagpailub mOlalom, ug ang grasya mOdaghan.

Manghinaut ako nga mag-uban ta ugma puhOn maggunitay sa kamot — dili tungOd kay perpekto ang atOng kaminyoon, kundili tungOd kay matinud-anon ang Ginoo nato.

Importante ang atOng presensya.
Importante ang atOng saad.
Importante ang atOng pagpamatuod.
Atong i-renew dili lang ang atOng mga saad sa usag usa, kundili usab ang atOng panumpa isip matinud-anOng miyembro sa iglesia ni Cristo.

Mag-uban ta motubo. Mag-uban ta moalagad. Mag-uban ta mosimba.
Magkita-kita ta ugma sa balay sa Ginoo!

Umari nga puno sa paglaum, pag-ampo, ug panaghiusa.

“GOd is a righteous Judge, a GOd who shOws wrath every day.”

Intro:
BrOthers and sisters, this verse reminds us that GOd is hOly, just, and fair.
He sees everything in our actiOns, our intentions in life , even the hidden struggles of our hearts.
GOd’s “wrath” is not like human anger.
It is His hOly respOnse to sin, injustice, and evil, because He loves what is good and protects what is right.

And in tOday’s wOrld, where dishOnesty, violence, and selfishness seem nOrmal,
The Psalm 7:11 assures us that GOd has not clOsed His eyes.

Specially when people escape human justice, they cannot escape GOd’s righteous judgment. This verse gives cOmfort to the oppressed and warning to the wrongdoer in this cOuntry and the church leaders .

But this verse also calls us to examine ourselves. Are we living in ways that honor GOd? Or are we choosing fOrgiveness instead of hatred, hOnesty instead of shOrtcuts, lOve instead of pride?

The good news is this, the same GOd who judges righteously also offers mercy through Jesus Christ. So tOday is an invitation to repent, to turn back to GOd, and to live upright lives.

And so let us walk daily in righteousness, ways knOwing that God is just and His grace is always available to those who seek Him.

TOday , we thank God fOr your 60yrs of life, and especially fOr the years you have generOusly offered in faithful service as Chairperson of our Church. Your leadership has been a quiet strength, rooted in humility, wisdom, and a sincere lOve for God’s people.

May this new year you will be filled with renewed strength, deeper jOy, and the assurance that your labOr in the Lord has not been in vain.

May God continually grant you a clarity in leadership, peace in your heart, and good health as you journey forward.

TOday we remember the baptism Of our LOrd that marks the beginning of His public ministry. ThOugh Jesus was withOut sin, He chOse to be baptized by JOhn in the JOrdan river. Why?
BcOs He wanted to fully identify with us.
He stepped intO the water nOt because He needed cleansing, but because He was embracing our brOken humanity.

From our church in UCCP Mabantao congregation, we joyfully greet everyone a blessed and meaningful Christmas.
May the love of God be felt in every home, the peace of Christ reign in every heart, and the hope brought by the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, renew our faith and strengthen our fellowship.
