Many of you would think that a seminary is a scary place to live. Honestly, I, too, once believed that this sacred place was haunted by ethereal apparitions like the infamous white lady, a faceless child, or a guy bound in iron chains.
What’s more! The sight of a cassock hanging around at night while walking, hearing dogs barking, cats yowling, or even some random rustlings during midnight are enough to give you goosebumps.
But fear not, my dear friends! Seminary life is not nearly as scary as other people think. In fact, there are a lot of things scarier than what folklores say. This is the eve before finals and comprehensive exams (well, examination day is scary too). The anxiety and uneasiness from the thought of failing a subject while in the seminary is much more frightening I guess. Forget ghouls and ghostly specters—failing a subject can haunt you just as much.
The solution? An all-nighter. We, brave seminarians, band together, clutching our rosary beads with trust and a cup of strong coffee at hand, as we grapple and struggle to conquer the darkness of knowledge gaps. We can’t leave everything to fate. Through late-night study sessions, we cling to the hope of taking all the lessons right before the exams.
So, dare to join us on this thrilling journey, where the scariest moments happen within the realm of academics. Brace yourselves, for the nights may be long, but the knowledge gained is invaluable. Let us seize these midnight hours, armed with faith, passion, and caffeine, as we conquer the scholarly specters that lurk around every corner.
But remember, a good night's sleep is more important. If you don’t want to fall into the horror of cramming, you better study early.
