"Letting Go of the Wheel" - Finding Faith When the Waters Rise.
Genesis 6: 11 -22

It uses the story of Noah and the Ark to explore the themes of surrender, obedience, and divine protection. The central message argues that just as Noah's ark was engineered without a steering wheel, rudder, or sail designed entirely to be carried by God rather than steered by man believers must learn to relinquish control over their lives and trust God's leadership through difficult and uncertain seasons.

What a joyful and blessed day as we gathered together at CCFI Cabul-an, Capoocan, Leyte for our Church Family Day and Baptism Activity! ๐ŸŒŠโœจ

Today, we witnessed our brothers and sisters publicly declare their faith and obedience to Jesus Christ through water baptism. It was truly inspiring to see lives surrendered to God and hearts willing to follow Him no matter what. ๐Ÿ’™

Though we were not complete, ( wala maka kuyog ang uban due to their personal reasons and business)the love, unity, laughter, and fellowship we shared made this day extra special. From bonding moments, games, food, and worship, every moment reminded us that the Church is not just a building โ€” it is a family united in Christ. ๐Ÿค

May this day continue to strengthen our faith, deepen our relationships, and encourage more people to follow Jesus wholeheartedly.

Todayโ€™s message reminds us that everything we have, our time, resources, strength, and even our prayers, are entrusted to us by God. We are called to give with the right heart, not out of obligation but out of love, knowing that God looks beyond what we offer and sees our intentions. In the same way, we are encouraged to care responsibly, casting our burdens on Him while also bearing one anotherโ€™s burdens with compassion and grace.

As we walk daily with God, we are invited to ask with wisdom, serve with commitment, and help with sincerity. Not every prayer may align with His will, but God honors those that seek His purpose above our own. Serving Him goes beyond convenience, it requires faithfulness even in the unseen and unappreciated moments. James 5:13-20

Essential Steps to Cultivate Genuine Restoration:
1. Restoration through Prayer
2. Restoration through Intervention

James offers us practical wisdom on how to live a life that honors God, even in the face of challenges and temptations. As we reflect on his teachings, consider the following lessons:

1. Perseverance in Trials: Do not surrender to the urge to give up when hardships come your way. Instead, allow God to use these experiences to mold and refine

your character, shaping you into the person He desires you to become.

2. Putting Faith into Action: Let your faith in God be visible through your actions. Respond to the grace you have received by actively living out your beliefs and serving others.

3. Impartial Love: Be cautious not to judge or treat others unfairly based on their status or wealth. Show kindness and love to every person, regardless of their background.
4. Speech that Honors God: Guard your words and refrain from letting your
tongue lead you into trouble. Surrender your speech to God, allowing Him to
guide what you say and set the standard for your communication.
5. Stewardship and Integrity: Use the resources God has entrusted to you in a way
that honors Him. Avoid exploiting others who may have less and practice
generosity and fairness.
6. Patience in Suffering: If you find yourself mistreated or taken advantage of,
resist the temptation to retaliate. Instead, endure patiently, trusting that God will
see your faithfulness and reward you in His timing.
7. Dependence on God: Do not attempt to navigate life relying solely on your own strength or understanding. Involve God in every part of your life. By doing so, you will experience His blessings and bring glory to His name.

Prayer:

Loving Father, we thank You for the lessons from the Letter of James and the practical wisdom
You offer us. As we finish our time together, help us to persevere in trials and to put our faith
into action, living out Your truth with courage and compassion. May we be people of integrity,
patient and loving, who honor You not only in word but in deed. Guide us through Your Spirit,
so that every challenge shapes us into who You desire us to be, and every act of service reflects
Your grace. Strengthen us to walk faithfully, uplift others, and bring glory to Your name.

7 Last Words of Jesus Christ

The goodness of Jesus is seen in a life lived entirely for others. He spent His days healing the sick and comforting the lonely, showing us that true greatness is found in service. Even when facing His hardest moments, His heart remained full of mercy, choosing to forgive rather than to strike back. This selfless love is the ultimate proof of His character.

Reflecting on His sacrifice, we see a Savior who gave everything so we would never have to be alone. He took on our burdens to give us peace, proving that His kindness is stronger than any pain. His life reminds us that the greatest act is to love others without expecting anything in return.

Today, His example remains a bright light for all of us. He showed us that grace and compassion can change the world. By looking at His goodness, we find the strength to face our own challenges with hope, knowing we are loved with a love that never ends.
