No More Pretending: A Prayer for Inner Renewal
(A Clean Heart, A Renewed Spirit)
Psalm 51:10-13

We often check the condition of our physical health our blood pressure, schedule, work, and responsibilities but we also need to ask:

โ€œHow is my heart before God?โ€
We may look fine on the outside, attend church, sing songs, and say the right things, while deep inside we may be carrying guilt, hidden struggles, bitterness, selfish desires, or sin.

The message uses the picture of a stained white shirt. Even when a stain is small, it can remain visible. In the same way, guilt and hidden sin can remain in our hearts even when we try to cover them up.

David's prayer in Psalm 51 teaches us that we don't simply need to improve our behavior. We need heart transformation.

1. Recognize the Problem - A Stained Heart
(Jeremiah 17:9, Mark 7:21โ€“23)
Our real problem is not merely behavior it is the condition of our heart.

2. Respond Through Repentance - โ€œCreate in Me a Clean Heartโ€
(Psalm 51:10โ€“12, 1 John 1:9)
Stop pretending, confess our sin, and ask God to transform us from the inside out.

3. Receive the Promise โ€” โ€œThey Shall See Godโ€
(Matthew 5:8)
A pure heart leads to deeper fellowship with God, clearer spiritual vision, and a life that can testify to His grace.

Conclusion:
True inner renewal happens when we stop pretending, surrender our hearts to God, repent honestly, and allow Him to cleanse us, restore our joy, and create in us a clean heart and a steadfast spirit.

Topic: "Every Year Matters: Living a Life that Leaves a Godly Legacy"
(Every Year is an Opportunity to Grow, Serve, and Influence the Next Generation.)
Bible verse: Psalms 100:5
Pastor.: Nelvin C. Guballo

I. THERE IS A RIGHT TIME FOR EVERY SEASON OF LIFE

God measures life by seasons.
Every season has a purpose.
Not every year is meant to be the same.
(Ecclesiastes 3:1)

II. THERE ARE YEARS GOD CALLS US TO SERVE

Serving God is never a waste.
Some people spend years chasing money.
Some spend years chasing popularity.
But only those who serve Christ Invest in eternity.
(Romans 12:11)

III. THERE ARE YEARS WE MUST REACH THE NEXT GENERATION
This church is not only about us.

It's about those coming after us.
If we stop serving...
Who will teach the children?
Who will disciple the youth?
Who will lead worship?
Who will preach?
Who will visit families?
Who will continue Compassion Ministry?
Who will continue CDC?
Who will continue Church planting?
The future of CCFI Kananga is sitting among us today

IV. AFTER 15 YEARS... WHAT SHOULD WE DO NEXT?

Not celebrate and stop.
Celebrate...
Then move forward.
Our best days are still ahead.
Fifteen years is only the beginning.
The next generation needs us.
Kananga still needs Jesus.
Leyte still needs Jesus.
The Philippines still needs Jesus.
The nations still need Jesus.
The world still need Jesus.

Conclusion

Psalm 100:5 reminds us...
God has been faithful.
Vesterday...
Today...
Forever.
Churches may grow.
Pastors may change.
Leaders may come and go.
Children become adults.
Parents grow older.
But one thing never changes.
The faithfulness of God.

"Letting Go of the Wheel" - Finding Faith When the Waters Rise.
Genesis 6: 11 -22

It uses the story of Noah and the Ark to explore the themes of surrender, obedience, and divine protection. The central message argues that just as Noah's ark was engineered without a steering wheel, rudder, or sail designed entirely to be carried by God rather than steered by man believers must learn to relinquish control over their lives and trust God's leadership through difficult and uncertain seasons.

-3 Key points
Sometimes God Removes Our Control over the Situation to Teach us to Trust in Him.
- Genesis 6:22
God sometimes removes our control over life's circumstances to teach us to surrender our plans and place our complete trust in Him.

God Protects Even When Life Feels Slow and Uncertain. - Genesis 7: 13-16
When life feels slow, directionless, or stuck, it is often a form of God's deliberate protection and care keeping us secure in the storm.

God Brings You to the Right Destination. - Genesis 8:1
We will safely reach the right destination not because we are steering our own journey, but because God is faithful to carry us through.

-Application
Trust the process:
When you feel like youโ€™re โ€œfloating,โ€ remind yourself that God is guiding you, not letting you drift.

Look for Godโ€™s faithfulness:
Reflect on past experiences where God brought you through difficult seasons, and use those memories to strengthen your trust.

Release the outcome:
Instead of focusing on controlling results, focus on being faithful in the present moment.

Encourage others:
Share your story of trusting Godโ€™s guidance with someone who feels lost, offering hope and perspective.

-Conclusion
the story of Noah reminds us that when the waters of life rise and the storms become overwhelming, our greatest safety lies not in pulling harder on the wheel, but in completely surrendering it to God. You are not drifting aimlessly through the chaos; you are being carefully carried and protected by a faithful Captain who knows exactly how to bring you to the right destination in His perfect time. Turn your anxiety into trust, let go of the need to control the outcome, and rest in the assurance that you are perfectly secure in His hands.

What a joyful and blessed day as we gathered together at CCFI Cabul-an, Capoocan, Leyte for our Church Family Day and Baptism Activity! ๐ŸŒŠโœจ

Today, we witnessed our brothers and sisters publicly declare their faith and obedience to Jesus Christ through water baptism. It was truly inspiring to see lives surrendered to God and hearts willing to follow Him no matter what. ๐Ÿ’™

Though we were not complete, ( wala maka kuyog ang uban due to their personal reasons and business)the love, unity, laughter, and fellowship we shared made this day extra special. From bonding moments, games, food, and worship, every moment reminded us that the Church is not just a building โ€” it is a family united in Christ. ๐Ÿค

May this day continue to strengthen our faith, deepen our relationships, and encourage more people to follow Jesus wholeheartedly.

A life that truly honors God is a life lived with purpose, faithfulness, and responsibility.

Todayโ€™s message reminds us that everything we have, our time, resources, strength, and even our prayers, are entrusted to us by God. We are called to give with the right heart, not out of obligation but out of love, knowing that God looks beyond what we offer and sees our intentions. In the same way, we are encouraged to care responsibly, casting our burdens on Him while also bearing one anotherโ€™s burdens with compassion and grace.

As we walk daily with God, we are invited to ask with wisdom, serve with commitment, and help with sincerity. Not every prayer may align with His will, but God honors those that seek His purpose above our own. Serving Him goes beyond convenience, it requires faithfulness even in the unseen and unappreciated moments. And as we extend help to others, may it always come from a place of genuine love, becoming channels of His goodness.

โ€œMoreover, it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.โ€ โ€” 1 Corinthians 4:2
