Last 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, we had a mental health and awareness talks reminded us of something powerful: we don’t always need to be professionals to make a difference—sometimes, we just need to be present. 🤍
We learned about The Power of Peer Counseling 💬 and it hit home: listening without judgment, checking in sincerely, and offering a safe space can mean SO MUCH to someone struggling. Being a peer doesn’t mean having all the answers; it means having the courage to care, understand, and walk with someone through their highs and lows.
We also had another talk regarding about HIV Awareness 🩺, reminding us that stigma breaks with education, empathy, and openness. Knowing the facts, supporting those affected, and spreading love instead of fear can save lives.
In a world where many silently carry heavy thoughts or face battles we can't see, becoming a supportive friend can be life-changing. These talks encouraged us to be more aware, compassionate, and intentional with the people around us. 🫂
Mental health matters, awareness matters, and it starts within our own circles, our classmates, friends, and peers. May we continue to choose kindness, empathy, and understanding. Because sometimes, one conversation, one listener, and one caring heart can make all the difference. 🌱💚
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to 𝑭𝒓. 𝑱𝒂𝒚 𝑵𝒐𝒓𝒍 𝑴. 𝑻𝒂𝒚𝒄𝒐, 𝑹𝑮𝑪, for his enlightening talk on '𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙋𝙚𝙚𝙧 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜' as part of our mental health initiative, and to 𝑴𝒓.
