Did you know that almost all prophecies concerning Israel have happened and come true?
Some of these are events happening in the present and those that happened in the past:
✨PROPHECIES:
Jeremiah 18:17
“Like a strong east wind, I will scatter my people. I will use their enemies to scatter them like dust. When disaster comes upon them, they will see me leaving, not coming to help.”
Matthew 24:1-2
Jesus left the Temple area and was walking away. But his followers came to him to show him the Temple’s buildings. He asked them, “Are you looking at these buildings? The fact is, they will be destroyed. Every stone will be thrown down to the ground. Not one stone will be left on another.”
Luke 21:20-24
“You will see armies all around Jerusalem. Then you will know that the time for its destruction has come. The people in Judea at that time should run away to the mountains. The people in Jerusalem must leave quickly. If you are near the city, don’t go in! The prophets wrote many things about the time when God will punish his people. The time I am talking about is when all these things must happen. During that time it will be hard for women who are pregnant or have small babies, because very bad times will come to this land. God will be angry with these people. Some of the people will be killed by soldiers. Others will be made prisoners and taken to all the different countries. The holy city of Jerusalem will be under the control of foreigners until their time is completed.”
✅FULFILLMENT:
This happened when the Roman Empire conquered Israel. It was also during this time that Jesus was born, grew up, crucified, died, and resurrected. After a few years, Christ's Apostles were also eventually killed. This was the time when Christian Jews and even other Jews began to scatter and hide in different countries.
The time of Emperor Nero came, and he also killed Christians and Jews. One thing Jesus said was that every stone His disciples saw in the Temple would fall, and this also happened when General Titus besieged and destroyed Jerusalem, including the Second Temple, during the first Jewish-Roman War. But Israel was defeated by the Roman invaders.
From 132-135 AD, Simon bar Kokhba led what was called “The Bar Kokhba Revolt,” which became the Roman Empire's fiercest opponent in Israel. The Roman Empire defeated it, which led Emperor Hadrian to change Israel's name to Syria Palaestina as punishment for their rebellion against the Roman Empire.
Fast Forward, the German N***s arrived. They were the ones who killed and caused Antisemitism, or a goal to exterminate Jews in the world. During this time, the Holocaust occurred. Jews scattered as refugees to different countries. A fulfillment of what is stated in the Scriptures in the book of Jeremiah.
Another thing that the Bible foresaw was the return of the Jews to their homeland, Israel, which at that time was already called Palestine by many.
✨PROPHECY:
Jeremiah 30:10-11, 16-17
“Then fear not, O Jacob my servant, declares the Lord, nor be dismayed, O Israel; for behold, I will save you from far away, and your offspring from the land of their captivity. Jacob shall return and have quiet and ease, and none shall make him afraid. For I am with you to save you, declares the Lord; I will make a full end of all the nations among whom I scattered you, but of you I will not make a full end. I will discipline you in just measure, and I will by no means leave you unpunished. Therefore all who devour you shall be devoured, and all your foes, every one of them, shall go into captivity; those who plunder you shall be plundered, and all who prey on you I will make a prey. For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord, because they have called you an outcast: ‘It is Zion, for whom no one cares!’”
Jeremiah 30:18-20
The Lord says, “I will restore my people to their land and have mercy on every family; Jerusalem will be rebuilt, and its palace restored. The people who live there will sing praise; they will shout for joy. By my blessing they will increase in numbers; my blessing will bring them honor. I will restore the nation's ancient power and establish it firmly again; I will punish all who oppress them.”
✅FULFILLMENT:
In 1897, Theodor Herzl founded a nationalist movement called Zionism. Zionism is an idea from the Bible whose goal is to return Jews to their land from the different countries where they were scattered. This was the beginning of the return of the Jews to their homeland. Their goal of returning them to their homeland, which at that time was called Palestine by many due to the British Mandate of Palestine (where it was not yet a full state or country until November 1988), was successful. And as a culmination of God's promise to restore and return their land to the Jews, in 1948, an agreement was made, and the State of Israel was re-established.
The historical events surrounding Israel, from its ancient scattering to the destruction of Jerusalem and the Holocaust, align remarkably with biblical prophecies of judgment and exile. Crucially, the modern return of the Jewish people to their ancestral land and the re-establishment of the State of Israel in 1948 are seen by many as a powerful, direct fulfillment of prophecies regarding their restoration. This consistent pattern of prophecy and historical realization offers a compelling narrative for those seeking to understand the enduring relevance of biblical texts.
