Memorial of Our Lady of Good Remedy

Today I remember Our Lady of Good Remedy, the Mother who meets us in our needs and never turns away. There are days when I don't know where to start, when I've tried everything and still feel stuck. On those days, I run to Mary like a child runs to their mother, trusting that she brings every worry straight to her Son.

Our Lady of Good Remedy, loving Mother, look upon our troubles with tenderness. Heal what is broken in our hearts, our homes, and our bodies. Bring relief to those who suffer, and lead us always to Jesus, the source of every true remedy. Amen.

If you're carrying something heavy today, I'm praying that you'll find comfort and healing. You're never without a Mother's care.

On October 7, We Celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary: Have You Prayed Yours?

Today, October 7, is the Feast of the Most Holy Rosary. All month long the Church has invited us to pick up our beads, and today we celebrate the prayer that has carried families, parishes, and entire nations through their hardest days.

I have learned that the rosary is not a prayer for the perfect or the well-rested. It is a prayer for ordinary people with full hearts and tired hands. One Hail Mary at a time, Mama Mary walks with us through the life of Jesus, and somehow our own struggles feel lighter when we place them in her hands.

If you have been away from prayer, today is the best day to come back. You do not need a long time or the right words. Even one decade is enough. She has been waiting for you, and she will never ask why you stayed away so long.

Pray with me: "Mama Mary, Our Lady of the Rosary, thank you for teaching us how to pray and for always leading us to Jesus. Today we place our families, our country, and every hurting heart in your hands. Keep us close to your Son, and never let us lose hope. Amen."

O Virgin Mary, grant that the recitation of thy Rosary may be for me each day, in the midst of my manifold duties, a bond of unity in my actions, a tribute of filial piety, a sweet refreshment, an encouragement to walk joyfully along the path of duty. Grant, above all, O Virgin Mary, that the study of thy fifteen mysteries may form in my soul, little by little, a luminous atmosphere, pure, strengthening, and fragrant, which may pe*****te my understanding, my will, my heart, my memory, my imagination, my whole being. So shall I acquire the habit of praying while I work, without the aid of formal prayers, by interior acts of admiration and of supplication, or by aspirations of love. I ask this of thee, O Queen of the Holy Rosary, through Saint Dominic, thy son of predilection, the renowned preacher of thy mysteries, and the faithful imitator of thy virtues. Amen.🙏💙

PAGSUNGKO IN THE DIOCESE OF KALIBO

From the river of Naga to the seas of Aklan, Inâ comes to meet her children. From October 1–5, the Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Peñafrancia will journey to the Diocese of Kalibo for the Seventh Diocesan Marian Pilgrimage for Family and Life. She comes as a Mother who draws near to families in their joys, struggles, and hopes, embracing their journey and gently leading them to her Son. With her comes the warmth of Bicol’s devotion and the love of El Divino Rostro, reminding us that wherever Mary journeys, she gathers her children closer to Christ and to one another.

We invite all Bicolano devotees of Inâ in Aklan to welcome her and join her in this sacred journey.

The Familias de Aklan para Maria , together with Rev. Fr. Josue Escalona Jr., gathered to prepare for the upcoming 7th Diocesan Marian Pilgrimage for Family and Life, honoring Our Lady of Peñafrancia (Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia) and the Holy Face (Rostro Divino).

As we look forward to welcoming Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia and the Rostro Divino, we pray for the protection and renewal of all families across our diocese.

Feast of Nuestra Señora Desatadora de Nudos

Our Lady Undoer of Knots💙⚜️🪢

The feast of Nuestra Señora Desatadora de Nudos is traditionally celebrated on September 28. The devotion comes from the famous Marian image associated with the Church of St. Peter am Perlach in Augsburg, Germany, inspired by a painting created by Johann Georg Melchior Schmidtner around 1700.

Mary is honored as the one who, through her intercession, helps us bring our difficulties, struggles, broken relationships, and burdens to God. The “knots” symbolize the problems and trials that seem difficult to untangle.

🙏 Prayer to Our Lady Undoer of Knots

Nuestra Señora Desatadora de Nudos,
loving Mother, we come before you with faith and trust.
Take into your hands the knots of our lives—
our worries, problems, family struggles, and difficulties.

With your maternal love, intercede for us before your Son, Jesus.
Help us to surrender everything to God
and give us the grace to trust His divine plan.

Untie the knots that keep us from peace,
strengthen our families,
heal what is broken,
and lead us closer to your Son.

Our Lady Undoer of Knots, pray for us.
