Gospel Reflection

WHOEVER IS ANGRY
(MATTHEW 5:20-26)

If you read today's Gospel, it is about Jesus telling his disciples, "Whoever is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment and whoever says, 'You fool!' will be liable to fiery Gehena."

Even in a joke, never say, "You fool!"

How many, do you think, went to hell because of being angry?

How many hurtful words do you say when you are angry?

When you are angry, pray to God that you will not sin.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, you told your disciples not to be angry.

We have been angry so many times, and we forget to ask forgiveness for these.

Even Christians could not control themselves when angry.

We do not want to go to hell.

Please help us not to be angry or, if not, please help us to be angry but not sin.

This I pray in your mighty name.

Amen.
