FAMILY SUNDAY featuring COUPLES FELLOWSHIP
"‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband." – Ephesians 5:31-33 (NIV)
The love of God is the foundation of all relationships, and marriage—being a sacred covenant established by Him—reflects this divine bond. Recently, PMCC 4th Watch Kalibo held a meaningful Family Sunday featuring a Couples Fellowship, bringing together pairs from the congregation to celebrate and strengthen their unions in faith.
The event began with heartfelt praise and worship, where couples and their families lifted their voices together in adoration, acknowledging God as the center of their lives and relationship
During the service, Prb. Dan Perez led a special segment for the renewal of vows, where married couples reaffirmed their commitment to one another and to God, renewing the promises they made on their wedding day.
The highlight of the gathering was the powerful message delivered by Apostle Jonathan S. Ferriol, who focused on the essence of love and marriage for Christian believers. He emphasized that a godly marriage requires mutual love, respect, commitment, and unwavering reliance on God’s word to navigate life’s challenges and build a lasting, harmonious partnership.
After the service, a lunch fellowship was held for each family, providing a warm space for brethren to share meals, stories, and encouragement with one another. Following the meal, a special recognition was given as couples who have been married for 20 years and above received the Longevity Award, celebrating their enduring commitment and thanking God for this remarkable milestone in their lives together.
The entire congregation expressed that they were deeply happy and blessed. To God be the glory!
