With hearts filled with faith and gratitude, the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish – Kabasalan gathered in celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation.

In this sacred celebration, 266 candidates received the fullness of the Holy Spirit through the laying on of hands and the anointing with sacred chrism. They were strengthened to live their faith not only within the walls of the church, but also in their homes, schools, communities, and in the world.

The Holy Mass was presided over by Most Reverend Glenn M. Corsiga, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Ipil, together with our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Marc Anthony Vaguchay, and our Parish Vicar, Rev. Fr. Robert Brilliantes.

Confirmation is more than a ceremony. It is a renewed calling to live faithfully as disciples of Christ. May the grace received on this special day become a source of courage for our newly confirmed as they face the challenges of life and continue to grow in their relationship with God.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our parish catechists, parents, sponsors, and everyone who accompanied our candidates throughout their preparation. Your prayers, patience, and guidance helped make this beautiful milestone possible.

To our 266 newly confirmed brothers and sisters, may you never be afraid to let your faith be seen. May the Holy Spirit give you wisdom when you are uncertain, courage when you are afraid, and strength when the journey becomes difficult.

May you always remember your calling to be witnesses of Christ, living with faith, serving with love, and walking with hope.

Congratulations, dear Confirmands! May the Holy Spirit continue to guide your journey, strengthen your faith, and lead you closer to Christ each day. May you remain faithful witnesses of His love and light.

Today, we give thanks to all fathers whose love, sacrifices, and guidance continue to shape our lives each day. Through their hard work, care, and unwavering support, they reflect God’s love within our families and communities.

As we celebrate Father’s Day, let us keep them in our prayers, asking the Lord to bless them with strength, wisdom, good health, and abundant grace.

𝟏𝟐𝐓𝐇 𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐈𝐍 𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 | 21th of June 2026

On this 12th Sunday in Ordinary Time, the Gospel recalls Jesus’ mission of
proclaiming the Kingdom amid persecution and opposition. In the midst of fear and uncertainty, He strengthens us with His command, “Be not afraid,” and calls us to courage and fidelity, assuring us of the Father’s loving providence, where even the hairs of our head are counted. In this Eucharistic celebration, trusting in God’s unfailing love and power, may we find the courage to live and proclaim our faith. Let us also lift up all fathers in prayer, asking God to bless them on this Father’s Day.

𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐑𝐃 𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑 | 19th of April 2026

On this Third Sunday of Easter, we journey with the risen Lord on the road to Emmaus. Like the two disciples, we are enlightened by His Word in the Scriptures, our hearts slowly set ablaze and our faith renewed. In the breaking of the Bread, we come to recognize His presence among us, inviting us to deepen our trust and remain rooted in Him.

From this encounter, we are moved to share the joy of His Resurrection with those who continue to doubt or search for meaning. May this Eucharist form us into compassionate fellow travelers, attentive to the struggles of others, ready to listen, and willing to witness to the hope and life we have found in the Risen Christ.
