With grateful hearts and deep faith, we joyfully celebrate the declaration of St. Francis of Assisi Chapel as a Pilgrim Church for the Jubilee Year of St. Francis of Assisi. This blessed moment is not only a recognition of a sacred place, but also a reminder that God continues to call His people to prayer, peace, renewal, and conversion through the life and example of St. Francis.

May this holy sanctuary become a place where pilgrims, devotees, and all faithful may encounter God’s mercy, healing, and love. As we gather in unity and thanksgiving, may the simple yet powerful prayer of St. Francis inspire us all: “Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.”

We warmly invite everyone to join this historic and grace-filled celebration on May 25, 2026 | 8:00 A.M., together with Most Rev. Bishop Louie P. Galbines, SThD, D.D., and the Clergy of the Diocese of Kabankalan.

PENTECOST SUNDAY

“Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.

Today, we mark Pentecost Sunday, the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles, giving them confidence, faith, and love to preach the Good News. The Spirit that also renews our hearts, strengthens our faith, and inspires us to be agents of peace, communion, and evangelization in our community.

Prayer

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit, and they shall be created, and you shall renew the face of the earth. Guide my thoughts, calm my fears, and empower me to share your peace and love with others. Amen.

Let us open our hearts to the gifts of the Holy Spirit and continue the mission of Christ with joy and humility.

Happy Pentecost Sunday!

PANGAMUYO SANG ISA KA PUNGSOD PARA SA PAG-IWAG, PAGHINULSOL,
KAG PAGBAG-O

Kabay pa nga mag-alagad sila nga may pagkamatinudnon, hustisya, kag kaluoy.
Hatagi sila sang kaalam agud makapanghikot nga may pagkilala kag pag-intindi,
kusog agud magpadayon nga may integridad, kag pagpaubos agud indi pagtimtimos

kag mangin instrumento sang paghidaet kag pagpasag-uli.

Amen.

Santa Maria, Iloy sang katawhang Pilipino kag Reyna sang Paghidaet, giyahan kag pangamuyuan mo kami sa gihapon.

San Lorenzo Ruiz kag San Pedro Calungsod, ipangamuyo kami.
San Miguel Arkanghel, ipangamuyo kami.

In response to the call of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) for peace in a wounded world, the faithful gathered in prayer and reflection, united in solidarity with all victims of war, violence, and conflict across the globe.

The pastoral statement emphasized the dignity of every human life and reminded the faithful that peace is rooted in justice, compassion, reconciliation, and dialogue. Special prayers were offered for nations experiencing unrest, for Overseas Filipino Workers and their families affected by global crises, and for all communities longing for healing and unity.

As one Church, we continue to heed the call to become instruments of peace through prayer, charitable action, and faithful witness to the Gospel of Christ.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.” — John 14:27
