Love, Laughter, and Legacy: TFBC Couples Night 2026 ❤️

What a beautiful night it was! This past Sunday, the couples of TFBC gathered for a time of intentional connection, shared stories, and plenty of laughter. Whether you’ve been married for fifty years or five months, it was a powerful reminder that our marriages thrive when they are rooted in community and, most importantly, in the love of Christ.

Seeing so many couples pouring into one another and strengthening their bonds was truly the highlight of our week. We aren't just building stronger homes; we’re building a stronger church family!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made this fellowship so special. We are already looking forward to the next one! 🥂

Official Announcement: A Season of Transition and Remembrance

“God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.” — 1 Corinthians 14:33

Beloved Temple Fundamental Baptist Church Family,

As we navigate this season of sorrow following the passing of our Senior Pastor, Rev. Rene D. Tonog, the Board of Deacons wishes to share an official update regarding our church’s path forward. We stand united in honoring his lifelong legacy of faith and service.

To ensure biblical order and stability, please take note of the following transitions:

1. Leadership & Governance
The Board of Deacons has formally recognized the vacancy of the Senior Pastor position. To provide continuity in ministry and spiritual care, Ptr. Ernesto V. Grijaldo Jr. has been appointed to serve as Interim Pastor.

2. A Season of Stability
The church will observe a transition period of one year. This time is dedicated to healing, prayerful reflection, and seeking God’s wisdom as we discern the future leadership of our congregation.

3. Honoring Our Shepherd
In grateful recognition of Rev. Tonog’s sacrificial service, the Board has approved the following provisions for the Tonog family:

- Service Love Gift: Php 500,000.00 (to be released over 20 months).

- Burial Assistance: Php 165,000.00.

- Medical Assistance: Php 166,000.00 (covering hospitalization expenses).

4. A Call to Unity
During this time, we ask every member to guard the peace of our church. Let us avoid division and instead commit to prayer, bringing any concerns through the proper, respectful channels.

We trust in the Head of the Church, Jesus Christ, to lead us forward. Please continue to uphold the Tonog family and our church leadership in your prayers. 🙏

Dear Church Members,

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Temple Fundamental Baptist Church will celebrate its 53rd Anniversary on May 4, 2025. We will have three (3) regular Worship Services: 5 AM, 7 AM and 9:00 AM.

We will forego the expenses that will incur during the celebration and this includes the food (snacks and lunch), speaker’s love gift, sounds and the like.

With this, we are asking all church members to convert their in kind contribution into cash and give it as a special offering for Pastor Tonog’s hospitalization and medical bills.

Let us continue to lift up in our prayers Pastor Tonog’s healing and recovery.

Hi TFBC Family,

Just wanted to give you an update on Pastor Rene Tonog from our visit yesterday at HMOMH.

He's been having this on-and-off fever, and we got the blood culture results back on Saturday, showing he has sepsis. They started him on some strong antibiotics yesterday, which are costing over Php3k per vial. Pastor's also having a tough time breathing – it seems there's fluid in his lungs and his heart is enlarged.

Please keep him in your prayers today as they're planning to do dialysis to help reduce the fluid in his lungs.
They're also referring him to the surgery department today because his abdomen is quite swollen, which is making his breathing even more difficult. 🙏

Let's really lift Pastor Rene Tonog up in prayer, asking God to touch his body and bring healing. Let's also pray for Manay Flor, that she'll have the strength she needs as she cares for him. And of course, let's pray for God's provision for all their needs at the hospital.
Let's really surround Pastor with our prayers during this challenging time for his health. 🙏

If you have some free time, a visit would mean so much to them. Visiting hours are from 3-9pm.

Though a little delayed, with hearts full of joy, we're sharing glimpses of the beautiful gathering last Sunday, February 16, 2025. It was a powerful time as youth from various churches came together at Bethany Baptist Church, under the guidance of Pastor Darius To-og, to lift up praises, worship, and delve deeper into the boundless love of God. We witnessed the power of unity and the hope found in Christ as we connected and grew together. May these shared moments inspire us all to continue seeking His presence and spreading His love. ✨🙏
