The sons and daughters of San Lorenzo Parish youth ministry were happy to take part in Brigada Eskwela 2026 at Tapi National High School.

As young people called to serve, they spent the day helping prepare the school for the opening of classes. It may be a simple act, but every effort counts in creating a better and more welcoming space for students and teachers. 💖

The different committees of the Parish Pastoral Council gathered for a fruitful meeting and discussion regarding updates on their respective projects, initiatives, accomplishments, as well as the presentation of issues and concerns.

The following committees shared their reports and plans:
1. Services Committee
2. Finance Committee
3. Worship Committee
4. Pastoral Council
5. Evangelization Committee

The meeting also included updates for the Vicariate shared by Rev. Fr. Ricky Pineda, fostering stronger coordination, collaboration, and commitment in serving the Church and the community.

San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish- Tapi, through the leadership of its Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Ivan Cantor, together with the dedication and hard work of the different parish committees, successfully hosted the Parish Pastoral Council Vicariate Meeting last May 25, 2026.

The gathering was attended by priests and representatives from the Vicariate of Kabankalan, composed of 10 parishes and 2 quasi parishes:

Our Lady of Candles Parish – Oringao
Shrine of St. Therese of the Child Jesus
St. Vicente Ferrer Parish – Binicuil
St. Isidro Labrador Parish – Salong
St. John the Baptist Parish – SONEDCO
St. Lorenzo Ruiz Parish – Tapi
Christ the King Parish – Magballo
St. Antonio Abad Quasi Parish – Bantayan
St. Joseph Husband of Mary Parish – Tabugon
Shrine of Sto. Niño – Kabankalan
St. Francis Xavier Cathedral
St. Isidore the Farmer Quasi Parish – Inapoy

The Vicariate Meeting served as a venue for updating pastoral programs and discussing important matters concerning the different committees, strengthening collaboration and unity among the parishes in service to the Church and the faithful.

We thank everyone who participated and contributed to the success of this meaningful gathering.

Ang San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish Choir naga-invite sang mga kabataan nga gusto mag-upod sa choir kag mag-alagad pinaagi sa pagkanta. Magkadto lamang sa aton simbahan. Alas 9 sang aga ang practice adlaw-alaw. 🎶

Ang importante may interes kag kabubut-on mag-alagad sa Ginoo. 🙏

Theme: Take Courage, I have Overcome the World- John 16:33

Nagtipon kami indi lang bilang mga indibidwal, kundi bilang isa ka pamatan-on sang simbahan, agud mas mapabaskog ang amon pagtuo kag pag-alagad sa Ginoo.

DSYC 2026 || Activity Highlights

Day 1 – “Have Courage”
We started our journey with joy and openness through GTKY and animation, building connections as one youth. We were also reminded through the talk “Faith in the Digital Age” to stay grounded in God even in a world full of distractions. The day ended in a deep and prayerful encounter with Taizé and Confession—bringing peace, reflection and renewal of the heart.

Day 2 – “I Have Overcome”
A day filled with hope and inspiration. Through the talk on understanding hope and powerful testimonies “Stories of Hope,” we were reminded that God is always present in every struggle. The Living Rosary united us in prayer, strengthening our faith as one community.

Day 3 – “The World”
We stepped out in service and joy through a clean-up drive, celebrating unity in caring for God’s creation. Fun and laughter filled the air during Larong Pinoy and Barrio Fiesta, reminding us that faith is also lived through culture, and togetherness.

Day 4 – Home Sweet Home🏡
We return home with grateful hearts, carrying the memories and lessons. This is not the end but a new begginging.

We faced different challenges in our everyday camp—moments of tiredness, and ang mga personal struggles, but each challenge became a reminder that we are never alone. Through every trial nga amon na-agyan, we learned nga kinanlan gid namon magbuligay kay wala na kami sang iban pa nga saligan kundi ang amon lang gid kaugalingon kag ang Ginoo, kag nangin maisog kami paagi sa amon nga pag-tuo kag pagpangamuyo kay Kristo.

To Rev. Fr. Ivan Cantor, our deepest gratitude for your guidance and spiritual support. Your presence inspired us to grow closer to God.

To everyone who helped us financially, emotionally and spiritually, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Because of you, this journey became possible and meaningful.
