Visita Casa: Little Way Steps into the Homes of Future Seminarians
As part of its continuing mission of vocation promotion and discernment, the Little Way College Seminary conducts its Visita Casa among aspiring seminarians and their families. This meaningful activity seeks to deepen the seminary’s relationship with its neophytes by personally visiting them in their homes and learning more about their life, family, and vocation journey.
Rev. Fr. Ricon Dagunan, MAT.Ph., Rector of the Little Way College Seminary, recently visited Bro. Joemel Cando of Buhod KK, one of the BEC areas under the Immaculate Conception Quasi-Parish in Barangay Camalandaan, Cauayan, Negros Island Region.
The visit became a beautiful opportunity for dialogue and fellowship as Fr. Dagunan personally met and shared conversations with Rev. Fr. Armando Alpas Jr. (Parish priest), the parents, family members of Bro. Cando, and the Christian community where he belongs. Through this encounter, the seminary community was able to affirm and support his desire to undergo seminary formation in response to God’s call.
Bro. Cando is among the qualified aspirants who are preparing to enter the seminary for the upcoming formation year. His willingness to embrace the journey of priestly formation reflects courage, faith, and openness to God’s invitation.
The Visita Casa program aims not only to guide aspirants in discerning their priestly vocation, but also to help families appreciate the beauty and mission of the priesthood. By bringing the seminary closer to the home, the Church continues to nurture vocations rooted in prayer, family support, and Christian community.
