“𝗔𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁”

On September 20, 2026, Kabacan Central United Methodist Church welcomed the delegates of the 𝘿𝙖𝙫𝙖𝙤 𝙀𝙥𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙥𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙧𝙚𝙖 (𝘿𝙀𝘼) 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙢𝙖𝙨 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙩𝙚 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 (𝘾𝙄𝙇𝙏) 2026 during the Sunday Worship Service for the 17th Sunday after Pentecost. With this year’s Christmas Institute theme, “𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗔𝗡,” the gathering brought together 37 delegates from five Annual Conferences within the Davao Episcopal Area: Visayas Philippines Annual Conference (VPAC), Northwest Mindanao Philippines Annual Conference (NWMinPAC), East Mindanao Philippines Annual Conference (EMPAC), and Southwest Mindanao Philippines Annual Conference (SWMinPAC), and the host Annual Conference- the Mindanao Philippines Annual Conference (MinPAC).

The congregation was blessed by the presence of 𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗮 𝗜𝗿𝗮 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗕. 𝗟𝗼𝘇𝗮𝗻𝗼 from the Philippines Annual Conference-Cavite (PACC), 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘜𝘔𝘠𝘍𝘗 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵, who shared the message, “𝘼𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙮 𝙨𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙩 𝙨𝙖 𝙪𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙙𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙨𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙩 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙝𝙪𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙜, 𝙖𝙩 𝙨𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙩 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙗𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣 𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙮𝙤𝙣.” Her message reminded the congregation and the CILT delegates that God's grace is sufficient for everyone, regardless of where they are in their journey. Also present was 𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁, 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘜𝘔𝘠𝘍𝘗 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘳, also from PACC.

The DEA CILT delegates actively participated in the worship service by leading the Praise and Worship, bringing their energy and faith into the congregation's Sunday gathering. Meanwhile, KCUMC Team Lakay served during the Divine Worship, welcoming and assisting the delegates throughout the service. The gathering became an opportunity for young leaders from different Annual Conferences to worship together, strengthen fellowship, and continue growing in their commitment to Christ and the ministry of the United Methodist Church.

The DEA CILT 2026 was held on September 18-20, 2026, under the theme “𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗔𝗡,” As the delegates continue their journey in youth leadership and ministry, may they carry with them the assurance that God's grace remains sufficient for every person called to serve.

Sa bawat ngiti, yakap, kuwento, at pagsasama, nasaksihan natin ang pagmamahalang hindi nasusukat sa mga bagay na naibibigay, kundi sa mga alaala at aral na naiiwan sa ating puso.

Kagaya ng sinabi ng ating speaker “Ipagdasal natin na habang tayo ay patuloy na lumalaki, matuto rin tayong maging mga taong ipinagmamalaki ng ating mga lolo at lola dahil balang araw, tayo naman ang magiging bahagi ng kuwento ng susunod na henerasyon.”

Sa pagdiriwang ng Grandparents’ Sunday, ibinahagi ni 𝗠𝘀. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗮 𝗟. 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗼 ang isang makabuluhang paalala tungkol sa halaga ng ating mga lolo at lola. Higit pa sa mga pagkain, regalo, kuwento, at pag-aalaga, sila ay tagapagdala ng mga alaala, halimbawa ng katapatan, tahimik na tagapanalangin, at patunay ng katapatan ng Diyos.

Hinikayat niya tayong pahalagahan hindi lamang ang mga bagay na kanilang ibinibigay, kundi pati ang pagmamahal, sakripisyo, pananampalataya, at mga aral na nakapaloob sa bawat isa. Habang kasama pa natin sila, mahalin natin sila, dalawin, pakinggan, yakapin, pasalamatan, at ipanalangin.

𝗞𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗨𝗠𝗖 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗗𝗟𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗜𝗚𝗚𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗗𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗧 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

The Kabacan Central United Methodist Church proudly participated in the Sunday School Convention held on August 30 to 31, 2026, at Branscomb Memorial United Methodist Church in Kidapawan City, under the theme “𝘾𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝, 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢.” The two-day gathering brought together 162 registered delegates from different local churches across the Mindanao Philippines Annual Conference-Davao Episcopal Area, for a meaningful time of learning, fellowship, and renewed commitment to Christian education.

Among the 162 delegates, KCUMC was proudly represented by 16 registered delegates, making it the biggest delegation in the convention. Their strong presence reflected the church’s commitment to strengthening its Sunday School ministry and equipping teachers to nurture the faith of children, youth, and adults.

The convention was headed by the 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 of the Mindanao Philippines Annual Conference, Davao Episcopal Area. The learning sessions were facilitated by lecturers assigned to each category: Ptr. Christian Love Daroy-Gagno for the Youth level, Dss. Faith Daroy-Sison for the Children’s level, and Rev. Roberto Ladia for the Adult level. KCUMC was also honored to have LSM Charlie L. Antipolo, PhD, as one of the lecturers.

After two meaningful days of learning and fellowship, the KCUMC delegation capped the event with a simple treat from the KCUMC Team Magaganda. The team treated the delegates to a refreshing Halo-Halo at one of the restaurants in Kidapawan City, giving everyone a chance to relax, enjoy one another’s company, and celebrate the successful completion of the convention.

The Sunday School Convention reminded every participant of the responsibility and privilege of teaching God’s Word. For KCUMC, the 16 delegates returned home carrying new lessons, and a stronger commitment to serve through Christian education.

Today, we thank God for both of your lives and for the blessings you continue to bring to the KCUMC family. May the Lord keep you strong, healthy, and joyful as you continue to grow in faith and serve Him in your own ways. May He guide you in every step, bless your families, and grant the desires of your hearts according to His will. We pray for more meaningful years, beautiful memories, and opportunities to be a blessing to others. May God’s grace and love be with you always. 🎉

𝗜𝗡 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗗𝗘 “𝗦𝗢𝗣𝗜𝗔” 𝗣𝗔𝗗𝗨𝗔 𝗕𝗔𝗬𝗕𝗔𝗬
April 13, 1939 - August 19, 2026

With deep sadness, the Kabacan Central United Methodist Church mourns the passing of our beloved 𝗜𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲 “𝗦𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗮” 𝗣𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗯𝗮𝘆, who passed away on August 19, 2026, at the age of 87. As the oldest member of our church family, her life has been part of the long story and journey of KCUMC. Her presence, faith, and memories will always have a special place in our church.

We thank God for the life He gave Inang Sopia and for the years she shared with her family, friends, and church family. Today, we grieve her passing, but we also celebrate a life that was lived with faith and love. As Scripture reminds us, “𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙛𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩, 𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚, 𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙠𝙚𝙥𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝.” 2 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗵𝘆 4:7. We trust that she now rests in the presence of the Lord.

To the Baybay family and to everyone who loved Inang Sopia, please know that the entire KCUMC family stands with you in prayer and sympathy during this time of loss. Rest peacefully, Inang Sopia. Thank you for being part of our church family and for the memories you leave with us. Your life will always be remembered with love and gratitude. 🕊️

We thank God for your life and for the heart you continue to give in serving the Lord and His people in the 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙤 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙩-𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙋𝘼𝘾. Thank you for your guidance, prayers, and dedication to the ministry. May God continue to give you strength, wisdom, and joy as you lead and serve. With grateful hearts, we celebrated the 9th Sunday After Pentecost and Parents’ Sunday, giving thanks to God for the gift of our parents.

One of the highlights of the celebration was the heartfelt message of 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘀 𝗨. 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗼, who beautifully defined the true meaning of a parent:

She also reminded us with these touching words:

Today, we thank God for your life and for the dedication you continue to show in serving KCUMC. Your willingness to give your time, effort, and heart to the church is truly appreciated. Your faithfulness has touched many lives and continues to strengthen our church family. May God grant you good health, wisdom, peace, and renewed strength for every season ahead. Kabacan Central United Methodist Church celebrated the 7th Sunday after Pentecost and Doris Ann Garrett Sunday on July 12, 2026, with 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗗𝗦. 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗖. 𝗚𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹 as the guest speaker. In his message, he encouraged the congregation to remember the faithful life and ministry of Ma'am Doris Ann Garrett, whose dedication to God continues to inspire the Church today. He reminded everyone, “𝘼𝙨 𝙬𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙈𝙖'𝙖𝙢 𝘿𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙨 𝘼𝙣𝙣 𝙂𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙩 𝙩𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮, 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙚𝙭𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙪𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩, 𝙜𝙪𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙮 𝙎𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙧𝙪𝙞𝙩𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚.”

Before concluding his message, Rev. DS. Ganal expressed his sincere gratitude to the members of Kabacan Central United Methodist Church for the opportunity to once again stand in its pulpit and proclaim God's Word. He also thanked the congregation for the love, prayers, and support they have shown to his family through the years. Sharing a personal testimony, he joyfully shared that his eldest son had recently graduated, and acknowledged that many of God's blessings in their lives were experienced alongside the encouragement of the KCUMC family.

Calling KCUMC their "𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺", Rev. DS. Ganal thanked the congregation for being a source of strength and encouragement throughout his ministry. As the church honored the legacy of Doris Ann Garrett, the celebration also became a reminder that lives devoted to Christ continue to inspire others, and that a loving church family plays an important role in helping one another remain faithful in God's service.
