𝗜𝗡 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗗𝗘 “𝗦𝗢𝗣𝗜𝗔” 𝗣𝗔𝗗𝗨𝗔 𝗕𝗔𝗬𝗕𝗔𝗬
April 13, 1939 - August 19, 2026

With deep sadness, the Kabacan Central United Methodist Church mourns the passing of our beloved 𝗜𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲 “𝗦𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗮” 𝗣𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗯𝗮𝘆, who passed away on August 19, 2026, at the age of 87. As the oldest member of our church family, her life has been part of the long story and journey of KCUMC. Her presence, faith, and memories will always have a special place in our church.

We thank God for the life He gave Inang Sopia and for the years she shared with her family, friends, and church family. Today, we grieve her passing, but we also celebrate a life that was lived with faith and love. As Scripture reminds us, “𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙛𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩, 𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚, 𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙠𝙚𝙥𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝.” 2 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗵𝘆 4:7. We trust that she now rests in the presence of the Lord.

To the Baybay family and to everyone who loved Inang Sopia, please know that the entire KCUMC family stands with you in prayer and sympathy during this time of loss. Rest peacefully, Inang Sopia. Thank you for being part of our church family and for the memories you leave with us. Your life will always be remembered with love and gratitude. 🕊️

We thank God for your life and for the heart you continue to give in serving the Lord and His people in the 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙤 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙩-𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙋𝘼𝘾. Thank you for your guidance, prayers, and dedication to the ministry. May God continue to give you strength, wisdom, and joy as you lead and serve. May He also bless you and your family with good health, peace, and many more years of fruitful service. We pray that God will continue to use your life to inspire and bless many people. 📸 𝐒𝐧𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲’𝐬 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 | 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 26, 2026

With grateful hearts, we celebrated the 9th Sunday After Pentecost and Parents’ Sunday, giving thanks to God for the gift of our parents.

One of the highlights of the celebration was the heartfelt message of 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘀 𝗨. 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗼, who beautifully defined the true meaning of a parent:

“𝘽𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙠𝙖𝙝𝙪𝙡𝙪𝙜𝙖𝙣 𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜, 𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙢𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙡 𝙣𝙖 𝙬𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙠𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩. 𝙔𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙢𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙡 𝙣𝙖 𝙠𝙖𝙝𝙞𝙩 𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙤𝙙, 𝙜𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩, 𝙤 𝙨𝙞𝙬𝙖𝙞𝙡 𝙠𝙖, 𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙮𝙖𝙣 𝙥𝙖 𝙧𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙖. She also reminded us with these touching words:

“𝑨𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒈 𝒔𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒉𝒊𝒏 𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒚 ‘𝒕𝒂𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒏 𝒏𝒂 𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒍𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒅.’ 𝑺𝒊𝒍𝒂 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒂𝒉𝒂𝒚 𝒎𝒐, 𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒈𝒖𝒓𝒐, 𝒂𝒕 𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒂𝒐 𝒏𝒂 ’𝒅𝒊 𝒌𝒂 𝒊𝒊𝒘𝒂𝒏.”

To all our parents, thank you for your selfless love, faithful guidance, and countless sacrifices. May God continue to bless and strengthen each of you as you nurture your families in His love! 🤍✨

Today, we thank God for your life and for the dedication you continue to show in serving KCUMC. Your willingness to give your time, effort, and heart to the church is truly appreciated. Your faithfulness has touched many lives and continues to strengthen our church family. May God grant you good health, wisdom, peace, and renewed strength for every season ahead. Kabacan Central United Methodist Church celebrated the 7th Sunday after Pentecost and Doris Ann Garrett Sunday on July 12, 2026, with 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗗𝗦. 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗖. 𝗚𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹 as the guest speaker. In his message, he encouraged the congregation to remember the faithful life and ministry of Ma'am Doris Ann Garrett, whose dedication to God continues to inspire the Church today. He reminded everyone, “𝘼𝙨 𝙬𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙈𝙖'𝙖𝙢 𝘿𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙨 𝘼𝙣𝙣 𝙂𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙩 𝙩𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮, 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙚𝙭𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙪𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩, 𝙜𝙪𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙮 𝙎𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙧𝙪𝙞𝙩𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚.”

Before concluding his message, Rev. DS. Ganal expressed his sincere gratitude to the members of Kabacan Central United Methodist Church for the opportunity to once again stand in its pulpit and proclaim God's Word. He also thanked the congregation for the love, prayers, and support they have shown to his family through the years. Sharing a personal testimony, he joyfully shared that his eldest son had recently graduated, and acknowledged that many of God's blessings in their lives were experienced alongside the encouragement of the KCUMC family.

Calling KCUMC their "𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺", Rev. DS. Ganal thanked the congregation for being a source of strength and encouragement throughout his ministry. As the church honored the legacy of Doris Ann Garrett, the celebration also became a reminder that lives devoted to Christ continue to inspire others, and that a loving church family plays an important role in helping one another remain faithful in God's service.

SERMON BITES | 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹

Fathers are among God's greatest gifts to the family. Through their love, sacrifice, guidance, and unwavering support, they reflect the heart of our Heavenly Father in the lives of their children.

In this special Father's Day message, 𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗟. 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗼, 𝗣𝗵𝗗, reminds us of the vital role fathers play in building strong families, nurturing faith, and leading by example. His message encourages fathers to remain steadfast in their calling and inspires children and families to honor and appreciate the men who have faithfully stood as pillars of strength in their homes.

May this message challenge, encourage, and strengthen every father as they continue to serve God and their families with love and commitment.

Kabacan Central United Methodist Church celebrated its 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗱𝗮-𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮 Program on June 14, 2026, with the theme, “𝙎𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣 𝙁𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝, 𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙂𝙤𝙙'𝙨 𝘼𝙗𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚” (𝙂𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙨 6:9). Members and guests gathered in worship and thanksgiving, celebrating God's goodness and faithfulness throughout the conference year. The celebration was also graced by the presence of 𝗗𝗦 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗥. 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗼, District Superintendent of the Mindanao Central District.

The congregation was blessed by the message of 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗩𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮 𝗥. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆-𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗺, who reminded everyone of the fruits of faithful ministry through her message, “𝘼𝙙𝙙𝙪𝙣 𝙞𝙩𝙞 𝙗𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙩𝙞 𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙙𝙮𝙤. 𝘼𝙜𝙩𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙡𝙤𝙮 𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙖𝙧-𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙠𝙪𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙮𝙤 𝙩𝙞 𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙮𝙤𝙣 𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤 𝙞𝙩𝙞 𝙄𝙜𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙖.” Her words encouraged the church to continue serving God and supporting the mission and ministries of the Church with dedication and faith.

The second part of the program was the Bienvenida and Despedida of the church workers. The church expressed its gratitude to Dss. Princess Gonzales for her faithful service, while Church Lay Servant Minister 𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗼 shared a message of appreciation and encouragement. The congregation also welcomed the retained workers, 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹 𝗕. 𝗦𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘆 and 𝗛𝗠 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗼 𝗚. 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼, together with the newly assigned student pastor, 𝗣𝘁𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗻. In her message, DS Rev. Mercidita R. Antipolo encouraged the members to continue loving, supporting, and praying for their church workers as they serve God together.

As the church enters a new conference year, the Harvest Festival served as a reminder that God's work continues through faithful servants who are willing to sow in faith and trust Him for the harvest. With grateful hearts, the KCUMC family looks forward to another year of worship, ministry, and service for the glory of God.

HARVEST FESTIVAL | 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲

“𝘼𝙙𝙙𝙪𝙣 𝙞𝙩𝙞 𝙗𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙩𝙞 𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙙𝙮𝙤. 𝘼𝙜𝙩𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙡𝙤𝙮 𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙖𝙧-𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙠𝙪𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙮𝙤 𝙩𝙞 𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙮𝙤𝙣 𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤 𝙞𝙩𝙞 𝙄𝙜𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙖.”

These words from 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗩𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮 𝗥. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆-𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗺 serve as both an affirmation and a challenge to the Church. She remind believers that every act of service, every prayer offered, every ministry undertaken, and every sacrifice made for the Kingdom of God bears fruit in ways that may not always be immediately seen. The growth of the Church and the transformation of lives are testimonies that God continues to work through faithful servants who remain committed to His calling.

The message also calls the people of God to persevere in the mission entrusted to them. The work of the Church does not end with past accomplishments or present successes. Rather, it continues through the faithful proclamation of the Gospel, the nurturing of disciples, and the extension of Christ's love to the community. As believers reflect on this message, may they be encouraged to continue embracing the mission and ministry of the Church with renewed dedication, knowing that God blesses and multiplies every labor done for His glory.
