𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗹𝘆, 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗔 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵, 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝘆𝗔𝗕

April 25, 2026 | On this day, the Mindanao Central District joined the community of Sitio Mariga, Guiling, Alamada, Cotabato in joyful celebration as the Guiling Mission United Methodist Church broke ground on its new church sanctuary, a moment long prayed for and faithfully worked toward.

The occasion embodied the spirit of AyAB (Ayat Awan Buteng), meaning "Love Boldly" a guiding call to action. When the laity advances with courage and love, churches rise. And rise they did.

The fire of this community's devotion has been kindled and carefully tended for nearly a year by Dr. Annalyn Peralta-Raquel, who has served with distinction as Lay Missioner and Lay Pastor. Her steadfast commitment, alongside that of her family, has revitalized this growing congregation and laid the spiritual groundwork for what is now becoming a permanent house of worship.

That vision became reality through extraordinary generosity. Dr. Raquel and her family, together with Engr. Cresencio N. Peralta Jr., have pledged to shoulder the full cost of all construction materials.

The broader work of building is a story of collective commitment spread across the wider church family. The Kabacan Central United Methodist Team Lakay will cover the full cost of roofing while the Mindanao Central District of the Mindanao Philippines Annual Conference, by God’s provision, takes on all labor expenses.

The congregation of Sitio Mariga, for their part, did not stand by as mere witnesses. With hearts full of gratitude and joy, community members rolled up their sleeves in preparing food, carrying materials, and backfilling the construction site. Their hands-on participation was itself a discourse: a living declaration that this church belongs to all who have labored, prayed, and believed together.

Today, as the first shovels turned the earth, something greater than a building began to take shape. This sanctuary is the physical expression of a community's faith, that when the laity advances boldly, with love and without fear, THE CHURCH RISES.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝!
𝑪𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒂𝒏 𝑼𝑴𝑪, 𝑳𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝑷𝒂𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒏 - The Mindanao Central District Conference was successfully convened at Canaan United Methodist Church, Lower Paatan, Kabacan, Cotabato, on April 10-11, 2026. It was attended by representatives from 26 Local Churches and 4 Mission Congregations, including Ministers, Deaconesses, Home Missioners, and Lay Delegates.
With the theme "Ａ҉ｙ҉Ａ҉Ｂ҉" (𝑨𝒚𝒂𝒕 𝑨𝒘𝒂𝒏 𝑩𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒈 / 𝑳𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝑩𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒍𝒚) this was far more than a two-day focus for the gathering but remains our call and marching order. Let our Love, Paghigugma or Panagayat be embodied in the spirit of "Bayanihan/Bataris" as we construct the church building of the Guiling Mission United Methodist Church in Guiling, Alamada, Cotabato, the Salangsang Mission in Salangsang, Lebak, Sultan Kudarat and soon, our new district parsonage.
Let us keep choosing love, not by transitory emotions, but through the inspiration of its Giver, Jesus Christ.

𝐃𝐄𝐀 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬: 𝐃𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐂𝐈 𝐏𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝: 𝐀 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐝

The Davao United Methodist Mission Center, Inc. (DUMMCI) formally marked a significant milestone with its successful Pay Park Blessing and Consecration held on April 5, 2026. The said rites were officiated by DS Rev. Jerry Ganal & Rev. Jaynard Gujol.

The activity highlight was the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, participated by key leaders and officers. Following the consecration, Mr. Glenn L. Castro, BOT Chair, shared a short message of appreciation and vision.

The gathering was well-attended by 43 participants, composed of church workers, lay leaders, members of the Board of Trustees (BOT), and special guests, including Ms. Hope Tugade, SEC Registration Representative.

Rev. Jeric Cortado facilitated the MinPAC Church Workers’ Association retreat at Sta. Maria, Davao Occidental on April 5, 2026, explaining the theme “Rooted Together, Growing in Grace.” He also emphasized that while retreats have different formats, this was a much needed break from the hustles and bustles of the church workers during the busy Holy Week.

"TOGETHER IN FAITH & SERVICE"

The MCD United Methodist Women's Society of Christian Service Assembly and Election was held at Founder UMC, Aringay, Kabacan, Cotabato, on March 21, 2026.

Rev. Ma. Theresa Cagang, the opening worship speaker, centered her message on the theme: To Love Boldly, Serve Joyfully, and Lead Courageously.

The activity highlighted the accomplishment reports of the organization, together with their faith journey stories and the election of the new sets of officers for the next quadrennium.

The assembly was successfully concluded through the leadership of Mrs. Elizabeth Q. Quia-eo, the outgoing district president.
