First Reading: ISAIAH 22:19-23

I will thrust you from your office, and you will be cast down from your station. In that day I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, and I will clothe him with your robe, and will bind your belt on him, and will commit your authority to his hand; and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. And I will place on his shoulder the key of the house of David; he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open. And I will fasten him like a peg in a sure place, and he will become a throne of honor to his father’s house.

Second Reading: ROMANS 11:33-36

O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! “For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?” “Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?” For from him and through him and to him are all things. Let us strengthen the Campus Youth Ministry.

In the face of growing concerns about school violence, student behavior, and the challenges young people are experiencing today, we need to look beyond punishment and ask how we can form, accompany, and guide our young people before they reach a breaking point.

The Campus Youth Ministry may not be the sole solution to the problems confronting our schools, but I believe it can help a lot.

Our young people need spaces where they can be heard without judgment, where they can ask difficult questions, build meaningful friendships, discover their purpose, and encounter God. They need mentors and communities that can walk with them—not only when there is a problem, but especially before one arises.

Teachers cannot carry this responsibility alone. Parents, teachers, school administrators, guidance counselors, youth ministers, parishes, and the wider community must work together in forming our young people.

A stronger Campus Youth Ministry can become one of those bridges—a safe and welcoming space where faith, values, friendship, service, and responsible citizenship can be nurtured.

We cannot expect our young people to choose peace if we do not give them opportunities to experience and practice peace. We cannot simply tell them to be respectful; we must surround them with communities that teach, model, and live out respect.

The Campus Youth Ministry may not solve everything. But every young person reached, every heart listened to, every life guided, and every act of kindness nurtured is already a step toward a safer and more compassionate school community.

Let us not wait for another tragedy before we invest in the formation of our youth. Let us strengthen our Campus Youth Ministry now.

𝗟𝗘𝗧 𝗨𝗦 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛. 🙏🤍

Recent incidents of violence involving young people in our schools have left many families, students, teachers, and communities grieving and deeply concerned. The recent tragedies in Tacloban and Zamboanga remind us that our young people need not only protection, but also guidance, understanding, formation, and genuine care.

𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵.

🙏 For those who feel lost, may they find hope.
🙏 For those carrying anger or pain, may they find healing and someone willing to listen.
🙏 For parents and guardians, may God grant them wisdom to guide their children.
🙏 For teachers and school personnel, may God strengthen them as they care for and educate the next generation.
🙏 For our schools and communities, may they become places of safety, friendship, learning, and growth.
🙏 And for those who have lost their lives and those affected by these tragedies, may God grant them eternal rest, healing, and consolation.

Let us also remember that praying must be accompanied by action. May we become more attentive to the young people around us, take their struggles seriously, listen without immediately judging, and speak up when someone may be in danger.

Our youth are not merely the Church of tomorrow. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆. Let us walk with them, protect them, listen to them, and lead them toward Christ.

“𝙇𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙤 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢.” — Matthew 19:14

Lord Jesus, protect our youth. Guide their hearts, heal their wounds, and surround them with people who will lead them toward love, truth, and peace.
