Today, September 14, we celebrate the 71st birthday of our beloved Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV.

Let us continue to pray for his good health, strength, wisdom, and guidance as he faithfully shepherds the Church and leads us closer to Christ.

May God bless him abundantly and grant him the grace to continue serving His people with love, humility, and hope.

Let us continue to pray for our Pope and his mission.

Today, August 15, we honor St. Tarcisius, the young martyr of the Eucharist whose courage, faith, and love for Jesus continue to inspire altar servers around the world.
Even at a young age, St. Tarcisius understood the great treasure he was entrusted with, the Blessed Sacrament. He remained faithful and protected the Eucharist, even when faced with danger, choosing to give his life rather than allow the Sacred Host to be taken from him.

As altar servers, may his example remind us that serving at the altar is more than simply performing our duties. It is an opportunity to serve Jesus with reverence, humility, courage, and love. May we always approach the altar with a sincere heart and remember the One whom we are serving.

St. Tarcisius, pray for us and guide all altar servers to remain faithful in our service to Christ and His Church. ๐Ÿค

A meaningful gathering of our Altar Servers at Sts. Peter and Paul Mission Station โ€“ Baleguian, filled with learning, reflection, and fellowship as they continue to grow in their ministry.

The seminar was more than just a day of learning, it was an opportunity to rediscover our calling, deepen our understanding of the liturgy, and renew our โ€œYESโ€ to serving God.

The first talk the altar servers understanding of the different times, words, gestures, and movements used in the liturgy. It reminded us that these are not simply actions to follow, but meaningful expressions of faith that should be carried out with reverence, attentiveness, and understanding.

The third talk introduced the sacred items and elements used in the liturgy, including liturgical vessels, linens, books, vestments, liturgical colors, and liturgical settings. The altar servers learned about their names, purposes, and significance in the celebration of the Holy Mass, helping them become more familiar, confident, and responsible in carrying out their duties at the altar.

A heartfelt thank you to our speakers for sharing their knowledge, wisdom, and experiences with us. Through your words, we were reminded of the importance of our calling and why we first answered โ€œYESโ€ to serve.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our priest-in-charge of SPPMS, Rev. Fr. Cristopher A. Lumagbas, SMA, and Rev. Fr. Krzysztof Pachut, for their unwavering support, guidance, and care for all our Altar Servers.
