The Knights of the Altar of Santa. Isabel De Portugal Cathedral Parish warmly invites the families and friends of our late Altar Severs, Bishops, and Priests who serve the Roman Catholic Prelature of Isabela de Basilan. The Requiem mass will be celebrated on:

These faithful servants dedicated their lives to the service of the Altar and the people of God. May our prayers rise together with the incense at this Holy Sacrifice, that the Lord may welcome them into His eternal light and grant them the rest they so richly deserve.

Let us gather as one family in faith to pray for their eternal repose, honor their memory, and find comfort in the hope of the Resurrection.

Through them, we experience your presence in the sacraments.

Help our priests to be strong in their vocation.
Set their souls on fire with love for your people.

Grant them the wisdom, understanding, and strength they need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.
Inspire them with the vision of your Kingdom.

Give them the words they need to spread the Gospel.
Allow them to experience joy in their ministry.

Help them to become instruments of your divine grace.

We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns as our Eternal Priest.

August 4 | 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬' 𝐃𝐚𝐲

Today, on the Feast of St. John Mary Vianney, patron saint of parish priests, we honor and give thanks for the men who have dedicated their lives to God and His Church through the Sacrament of Holy Orders. As St. John Vianney beautifully said, “The priesthood is the love of the Heart of Jesus.”

We are deeply grateful for our priests of Sta. Isabel de Portugal, who faithfully shepherd our parish through the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, the sacraments, and their quiet witness of service, compassion, and love. In every Holy Mass they celebrate, they act in persona Christi—representing Christ Himself as they proclaim His Word and offer the Holy Eucharist, drawing His people closer to Him.

As we celebrate their vocation, let us keep them in our prayers, asking the Lord to bless them with strength, humility, wisdom, and joyful perseverance in their ministry.

May Christ, the Eternal High Priest, continue to guide, strengthen, and bless you as you faithfully lead His flock.

The clergy of the Prelature of Isabela de Basilan live out their vocation not only through liturgies and sacraments, but also through daily acts of quiet heroism—being present, being available, being faithful.

As we thank God for their vocation, let us also pray that they may continue to serve with humility, courage, and joy.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | The Knights of the Altar of Sta. Isabel De Portugal Cathedral Parish Officially Launch the Month of the Altar Server (MOTAS) 2026 with the theme: 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞: 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝, 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 yesterday August 02, 2026, the eucharistic celebration was presided over by the Most Rev. Leo M. Dalmao, CMF, DD.

Standing close to Christ at the altar, we offer our service, our devotion, and our hearts as we begin this special season dedicated to honoring the grace and privilege of serving the Lord. May this celebration strengthen our faith, deepen our love for the Holy Eucharist, and remind us that to serve at His table is a gift, a calling, and a blessing.

May every sacred moment at the altar draw us nearer to Jesus, and may our lives reflect the humility, faithfulness, and joy that true service brings. As we lift our prayers and unite in the Holy Mass today, we ask God to bless all altar servers, guide our steps, and help us always respond with gladness: “Here I am, Lord, I come to do Your will.” ✝️🕯️🙏

Jesus reminds us that even the smallest offering, when given with faith and love, can become a blessing for many. As Knights of the Altar, may we continue to serve Christ with generous hearts, trusting that He will use our service to bring hope and joy to others.

Remembering Reverend Father TOMAS S. LIM🕊️

On this day of his death anniversary, we pause to honor and remember Fr. TOM, who served with love, compassion, and dedication in the Prelature of Isabela de Basilan.

We carry his teachings, his warm smile, and his pastoral heart in our prayers today. We thank the Almighty for the gift of his life and his selfless service to the Church.

May the Good Shepherd welcome him into the warmth of eternal peace. Rest in glory, Fr. TOM. You are dearly missed and remembered. 🤍
