A meaningful and inspiring gathering with our seminarians as they shared their experiences and insights about seminary life, formation, and teaching. Their words reminded us that serving God is a journey of faith, discipline, sacrifice, and vocation.

To all our Altar Servers of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish of Irosin, may their stories and lessons inspire us to deepen our love for serving at the altar. We may have different paths, but we share one purpose—to serve God with humility, joy, dedication, and a faithful heart. 🙏⛪

Agosto 15, 2026 | PELIKULA AT PAYAPA 🎬🍿

Agosto 15, 2026, isinagawa ang “PELIKULA AT PAYAPA,” isa sa mga gawain na inihanda ngayong Buwan ng mga Altar Server, na nagbigay sa atin ng pagkakataong makapagpahinga, magsaya, makipagkapwa, at magkaroon ng makabuluhang oras kasama ang isa’t isa.

🎥 Tampok sa ating pagtitipon ang isang pelikulang tumatalakay sa Diyos at sa buhay ng isang altar server, na naghatid ng mahahalagang aral, inspirasyon, at paalala tungkol sa kahalagahan ng ating paglilingkod sa altar. 🙏⛪

🍿 Naging mas masaya rin ang ating pagsasama-sama sa pamamagitan ng mga munting salu-salo at snacks na ating pinagsaluhan habang nanonood.

Taos-puso ang aming pasasalamat sa lahat ng dumalo at nakibahagi sa gawaing ito. Sa pamamagitan ng inyong presensya at pakikiisa, naging mas makabuluhan at matagumpay ang PELIKULA AT PAYAPA.

Bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng mga Altar Server, nawa’y magsilbing paalala ang gawaing ito na bukod sa ating paglilingkod sa altar, mahalaga rin ang pagkakaisa, pagkakaibigan, pakikipagkapwa, at pagbabahagi ng masasayang sandali bilang isang komunidad. 🤍

Nawa’y patuloy tayong maging masigasig sa ating paglilingkod at patuloy na lumago hindi lamang bilang mga altar server, kundi bilang magkakapatid na nagkakaisa sa pananampalataya.

Nawa’y patuloy tayong pagpalain at gabayan ng Panginoon sa ating paglilingkod. 🙏 🤍

𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐒 𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 - 𝗦𝘁. 𝗗𝗢𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗖 𝗦𝗔𝗩𝗜𝗢
As one of the paron saint of ALTAR SERVERS

• Saint Dominic Savio was an Italian Catholic boy known for his deep faith and kindness.

• Dominic was admired for being prayerful, cheerful, hardworking, and helpful to others.

• He helped form the Company of the Immaculate Conception, a group of boys who encouraged one another to live good Christian lives.

• Dominic became seriously ill and died on March 9, 1857, at only 14 years old.

• He served at Mass as a young boy and showed great respect, prayerfulness, and love for the Eucharist.

• Dominic became ill and died on March 9, 1857, when he was only 14 years old. Pope Pius XII declared him a saint in 1954, and his feast day is celebrated on May 6.

• Even though he was still a child, Dominic tried hard to pray, attend Mass, help others, and avoid doing wrong. His personal motto was “Death rather than sin,” showing how seriously he wanted to love God and make good choices.

• Dominic was also brave when he saw other students fighting or being bullied. He tried to stop arguments peacefully and encouraged others to forgive, make peace, and treat one another with kindness.

Today, we honor the shepherds whom 𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙, 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙜𝙪𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙃𝙞𝙨 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨. Through their unwavering dedication, they continue to bring Christ closer to us—celebrating the sacraments, proclaiming His Word, and walking with us in every season of life. Your life of service inspires us, especially the youth, to live with faith, humility, and courage.

𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐒 𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 - 𝗦𝘁. 𝗝𝗢𝗛𝗡 𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗖𝗛𝗠𝗔𝗦
As one of the patron saint of the ALTAR SERVERS

• St. John Berchmans lived from 1599 to 1621 and is remembered for doing ordinary duties with extraordinary care and holiness.

• He was born in Diest, Belgium, into a deeply religious family.

• His family had financial difficulties, he continued his education by serving in households that supported his studies.

• While studying in Mechlin, he met the Jesuits and chose to join their order rather than become a diocesan priest.

• He entered the Jesuit novitiate in 1616 and carried out every duty with joy, discipline, and fidelity.

• He later studied philosophy in Rome at the Roman College, where he excelled academically and spiritually.

• He became ill with dysentery and fever, spent his final night in prayer with his crucifix, rosary, and rule book, and died on August 13, 1621.

• He is the patron saint of altar servers because of his deep love for the Eucharist, faithful prayer, reverence for sacred things, and example of serving God carefully and joyfully in everyday responsibilities.

HAPPY ALTAR SERVERS’ MONTH

This August, we celebrate not only a ministry but a calling—a sacred invitation to stand close to the altar of the Lord. Behind every procession, every Mass, every moment of reverent silence, and every act of service is an altar server who has answered God’s call with a willing heart.

Being an altar server is more than wearing an alb or carrying the cross. It is about becoming a living witness of faith, humility, discipline, and love for Christ. Every step toward the altar is a reminder that we are called to serve not for recognition, but for the greater glory of God. Through every sacrifice, every early morning, every practice, and every duty fulfilled with joy, we grow not only as servers of the Church but as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.

As we celebrate Altar Servers Month, may we continue to inspire one another to remain steadfast in our commitment. Let us encourage those who are new, strengthen those who are struggling, and welcome back those who have drifted away. May our service at the altar transform the way we live beyond the sanctuary, reflecting Christ in our words, actions, and daily lives.

To every altar server—thank you for your dedication, your reverence, and your unwavering willingness to serve. Never forget that every act of faithful service, no matter how small, is precious in the eyes of God. Continue serving with humility, courage, and a joyful heart, knowing that the Lord who called you will always walk beside you.

May this month renew our passion for serving, deepen our love for the Holy Eucharist, and remind us that the greatest honor is not to be seen by people, but to faithfully serve the One who first called us.

𝐀𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐢 𝐂𝐮𝐦 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐞𝐭 𝐅𝐢𝐝𝐞 —𝘛𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘭𝘵𝘢𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘰𝘥, 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩.

To serve at the altar is more than wearing a vestment or carrying out sacred duties—it is a calling to stand closer to the mystery of Christ and to serve His Church with a humble and faithful heart. Every procession, every response, every candle carried, every book held, and every act of reverence is an offering of love to the One who first called us to serve.

An altar server is not measured by perfection, but by a heart that is willing to learn, to grow, and to remain faithful even when no one is watching. True service is found in humility, discipline, reverence, and a deep love for the Holy Eucharist. Through every Mass, we are reminded that our greatest privilege is not to be seen by others, but to faithfully assist at the Lord’s altar.

May we continue to answer God’s call with joyful hearts, steadfast faith, and unwavering dedication. Let our service inspire others, strengthen our parish community, and draw us ever closer to Christ, whom we serve with our hands, our hearts, and our lives.
