Holy Trinity Covenant Community Youth & Music Ministry Holds New Year Reunion

Irosin, Sorsogon - January 3, 2025 marked a significant milestone for the Holy Trinity Covenant Community (HTCC) Youth & Music Ministry as they kicked off the New Year with a heartwarming reunion and fellowship. The event brought together new, former, and elder members of the group, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie at Casa Luna in Macawayan, Irosin, Sorsogon.

The gathering served a dual purpose, also celebrating the birthday of Bro. Christian Rey Gragas, HTCC's Servant Coordinator. He is also a current and active member of the ministry where he was honed to be a leader that he is now.

The fellowship served as a powerful reminder of the strong bonds of Christianly brotherhood and sisterhood within the group, nurtured through shared music and cherished friendships. It was a true reunion of one family, united in grace and love with the Holy Spirit binding and leading them together.

A key focus of the gathering was to discuss the future plans for the community, with a particular emphasis on the active involvement of the younger generation. The group explored strategies to increase membership, enhance outreach efforts to bring more people closer to God, and develop innovative approaches to evangelization.

This successful reunion served as a powerful reminder of the importance of community and the enduring impact of faith and fellowship.

A Blessed reunion of New and elder members of the HTCC Youth & Music Ministry . After opening prayer the group dared to sing this piece as part of our prayer together. Even without years of practice, we still got it. Do we?

This is also to pay homage to the late Pay Juaning who first taught us this piece.

To God be the Glory!

Holy Trinity Covenant Community (HTCC) Youth & Music Ministry Gift Giving 2024

112 children from Mapaso, Irosin, Sorsogon received Christmas gifts brought by the Holy Trinity Covenant Community Youth and Music Ministry on December 28, 2024. For 22 years, the HTCC Youth & Music Ministry has been giving gifts to less-privileged children which has now become its yearly tradition. Every year the group goes to different barangays to bring the joy of Christmas, especially to the far-flung barrios. The funding for this gift-giving activity came from donations from various benefactors who were avid supporters of this cause since its first year. Other funding for this event came from contributions from every current and former members of the Ministry.

From its early years, the group would conduct several fundraising activities to raise some cash for the gift-giving activity. This is on top of the group's yearly savings from choir service fees accumulated within the year. One of the most prominent activities is the house-to-house caroling every Christmas season to local households within the población. At the end of the year, all of the group's hard-earned funds, plus the donations from our benefactors and contributions are gathered together to buy gifts, food, and prizes for parlor games during the gift-giving day.

This Gift giving started from the población and, through the years, has been brought to the far-flung barangays of Irosin as conceived in its early beginnings. The group conducts this yearly activity in coordination with the members of the barangay council and elementary school officials. The beneficiaries are based on the data given by the latter.

The group expresses its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped make this event possible. Through this event, the group rejoices for becoming God's instruments to bring smiles to the very least of His children in this season of love and Giving--Christmas. As our Eternal Father sent forth His only begotten Son as His saving gift, we, will gladly be giving gifts to these children out of love because Christ first loved them all.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Luke 1:26-38

In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth,
to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin's name was Mary.
And coming to her, he said, "Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you."
But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be.
Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus.
He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end."
But Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?"
And the angel said to her in reply, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God.
And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren;
for nothing will be impossible for God."
Mary said, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word." Then the angel departed from her.

Luke 1:5-25

In the days of Herod, King of Judea, there was a priest named Zechariah of the priestly division of Abijah; his wife was from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.
Both were righteous in the eyes of God, observing all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blamelessly.
But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren and both were advanced in years.
Once when he was serving as priest in his division's turn before God, according to the practice of the priestly service, he was chosen by lot to enter the sanctuary of the Lord to burn incense.
Then, when the whole assembly of the people was praying outside at the hour of the incense offering, the angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right of the altar of incense.
Zechariah was troubled by what he saw, and fear came upon him.
But the angel said to him, "Do not be afraid, Zechariah, because your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall name him John.
And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth, for he will be great in the sight of (the) Lord. He will drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will be filled with the holy Spirit even from his mother's womb, and he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God.
He will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah to turn the hearts of fathers toward children and the disobedient to the understanding of the righteous, to prepare a people fit for the Lord."
Then Zechariah said to the angel, "How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is advanced in years."
And the angel said to him in reply, "I am Gabriel, who stand before God. I was sent to speak to you and to announce to you this good news.
But now you will be speechless and unable to talk until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled at their proper time."
Meanwhile the people were waiting for Zechariah and were amazed that he stayed so long in the sanctuary.
But when he came out, he was unable to speak to them, and they realized that he had seen a vision in the sanctuary. He was gesturing to them but remained mute.
Then, when his days of ministry were completed, he went home.
After this time his wife Elizabeth conceived, and she went into seclusion for five months, saying,
So has the Lord done for me at a time when he has seen fit to take away my disgrace before others.

"God is with us."

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ
Tuesday - December 18, 2018

Matthew 1:18-24

This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found with child through the Holy Spirit.
Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man, yet unwilling to expose her to shame, decided to divorce her quietly.
Such was his intention when, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her.
She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel, which means "God is with us."
When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife into his home.
