July 1, 2009 — a mission began, not by choice, but by faith. From humble beginnings, doubts, and challenges, Rev. Fr. Odine L. Ar**la chose to believe: “If you build it, they will come.”

Through concerts, raffles, and unwavering faith, he built more than structures; he built a community. From 686 students to a growing institution, from being called “Burutas” to becoming proud "Veritans", his vision gave VCI its identity, dignity, and purpose.

Seventeen years of service. Seven buildings standing. Seven programs thriving. One mission that never wavered.

Thank you, Fr. Odine, for your faith, leadership, and legacy.

BLACK SATURDAY

“By His wounds, we are healed. We are saved.”

Black Saturday reminds us that even in the silence, God is still working.

There are days when life feels quiet, heavy, and uncertain. Days when prayers seem unanswered and hope feels far away. But this day reminds us that silence is not the end of the story.

Jesus suffered for us, carried our pain, and gave His life so we could have healing, mercy, and salvation. What looked like darkness was not defeat. God was still moving, even when no one could see it yet.

So if your heart feels tired today, hold on. God is still working in the quiet. Hope is still alive. The story is not over.

“But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5

🕊️ GOOD FRIDAY

A somber day of remembrance, as we ponder the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. His suffering and death remind us of the gravity of sin and the depth of God's love. May we find solace in the promise of redemption and forgiveness through Christ's sacrifice.

🕊️ MAUNDY THURSDAY

Commemorating the Last Supper, where Jesus shared a final meal with his disciples, washing their feet and instituting the Eucharist. He taught us about humility, love, and the importance of communion. Let us strive to serve others with kindness and generosity, just as Jesus did.

March 29–30, 2026 | Pabasa ng Pasyon

In a solemn expression of faith and unity, the VCI community gathered for the Pabasa ng Pasyon—reflecting on Christ’s passion, sacrifice, and boundless love.

This meaningful devotion was held from March 29, 8:00 PM to March 30, 5:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Chapel, Main Campus of Veritas College of Irosin. Through continuous chanting, prayer, and reflection, participants were led into a deeper encounter with Christ’s suffering and mercy.

Each verse became a moment of grace—inviting everyone to listen, reflect, and embrace the message of salvation with renewed faith.

As we continue this Lenten season, may we carry in our hearts the spirit of devotion, humility, and love, and live out Christ’s teachings in our daily lives.

March 27, 2026 | Community Way of the Cross

In a solemn expression of faith and unity, the VCI community gathered for the Community Way of the Cross—reflecting on Christ’s journey of sacrifice and love.

This meaningful devotion was led by the BSCRIM and BSBA Departments, in collaboration with the Music Ministry and The Veritas Chorale, last Friday at the Main Campus of Veritas College of Irosin. Through prayer, songs, and reflection, participants were guided to a deeper understanding of Christ’s passion and His enduring mercy.

Each station became a moment of encounter—inviting everyone to carry their own crosses with faith, hope, and love.

As we continue this Lenten season, may we be inspired to follow Christ more closely through acts of compassion, humility, and service to others.
