Subject: Official Declaration of Darul Ifta' Zamboanga Sibugay on Moon Sighting – Ramadan 1447 AH (2026)

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
(In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful)
The Darul Ifta' of Zamboanga Sibugay hereby declares that the blessed month of Ramadan 1447 AH (2026) will officially begin on Thursday, February 19, 2026, following the confirmed moon sighting.
This declaration has been issued in coordination with Darul Ifta' Zambasulta and Palawan, in collaboration with Bangsamoro Darul Ifta' (BARMM), after proper verification of reports in accordance with Islamic principles.
May Allah accept our fasting, prayers, and good deeds in this blessed month.
And may Allah grant us strength, unity, forgiveness, and success.
Allahumma ballighna Ramadan wa a'inna 'ala siyamihi wa qiyamihi
(O Allah, allow us to reach Ramadan and help us in fasting and standing in prayer.)

Alhamdulillahi rabbil alameen...Honorable guests, respected sisters and brothers,
The Social Welfare Committee is truly a blessing from Allah, for women are the mothers and nurturers of our future generations. We are deeply thankful for your kind invitation, which reflects the unity and harmony that Islam encourages among us.
Islam calls us to stand united upon authentic knowledge. We must never allow divisions based on origin, background, or differences, but remain firmly connected to the teachings of Islam as preserved and explained by the ‘Ulamā’, who dedicate themselves to understanding the responsibilities of community leadership. In Islam, leaders are entrusted to act with fairness, justice, and wisdom, avoiding fanaticism, favoritism, extremism, and radicalism, so that our community is protected from paths that lead to harm and discord.
It is therefore our sacred duty to stand together with our ‘Ulamā’, especially those within our own community, and to seek their guidance as spiritual advisers. By doing so, we safeguard our unity, strengthen our safety, and foster the growth and development of our community on the blessed path of Allah.
