Holy Hour ⏳

First Friday of the Month – September 5, 2025
St.Joseph The Worker Cathedral Parish, 6PM

Tomorrow marks the beginning of a new month and a continued journey of faith! We warmly invite everyone to join us in honoring the Sacred Sacrifice during Holy Hour. This special time allows us to witness and commune with God in His holy presence—a meaningful encounter wrapped in His embrace and mercy.

Holy Hour is a moment to bring forth our intentions and petitions, to pour out our emotions and frustrations, and to seek grace and guidance. It is a time to open our hearts to God and the Holy Spirit, to repent and reconcile, and to experience His infinite love and mercy.

May God’s mercy and love continue to fill our hearts, strengthening our minds to remain faithful and prayerful as we face the challenges and encounters life brings.

Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

August 15, 2025

The Assumption of Mary is a profound mystery and a great sign of hope for all believers. Mary, who was united with Jesus like no other creature, was taken body and soul into heavenly glory, showing that not just the soul but also the body is precious to God. This solemnity invites us to look beyond this earthly life and fix our gaze on the promise of resurrection and eternal life. Mary's Assumption is a source of consolation and encouragement, reminding us that death is not the end and that our bodies, too, will be glorified. It is a call to live faithfully, devoted to God's will, as Mary did through her humility, service, and faithfulness. Moreover, Mary is not distant in heaven; she is with us, accompanying us in our journey, sharing our sufferings, and inspiring us to hope. In celebrating Mary's Assumption, we embrace the hope of our own resurrection and renewed life in Christ, trusting in God's loving plan for us now and forever. May her example strengthen our faith and guide us to live lives filled with grace, hope, and charity.

Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord

August 6, 2025
Wednesday

"This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to Him".

On mount tabor, Jesus's physical appearance transformed, revealing his divine glory. Three of Jesus's closest disciple, Peter, James, and John were present to witness the Transfiguration. This celebration reminds us that there is the glory of God—a foretaste of the Kingdom of God, that He sacrificed himself in showing his love and mercy towards humanity. Like Jesus, we too, may transform in the best version of ourselves and live righteous according to his will. Let us all be filled with hope and faith to be closer to God and encounter him in every special way.

Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, Apostles🐑

June 29, Sunday🗓️

In solemn commemoration of the glorious Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, Apostles, we give thanks for the unwavering faith, courageous witness, and steadfast leadership of these pillars of the early Church. May their example inspire us to proclaim the Gospel with conviction, to serve with humility, and to remain united in Christ as we journey together in faith. Through their intercession, may we be strengthened in our mission to bear witness to the truth and love of Jesus Christ in our world today.

Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus❤️

June 27, Friday🗓️

Tomorrow, on the solemn and reverent occasion of the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, we pause to reflect deeply upon the boundless love, mercy, and compassion that flow eternally from the Sacred Heart of our Lord. This sacred celebration invites the faithful to contemplate the profound mystery of Christ’s divine love, manifested through His pierced heart, which beats with infinite tenderness for all humanity. It is a call to embrace His grace, to seek spiritual renewal, and to respond with hearts open to charity, forgiveness, and selfless devotion. May this solemn feast inspire us to draw nearer to Jesus, to imitate His virtues, and to entrust ourselves wholly to His loving care, so that we may bear witness to His sacred love in all aspects of our lives. In honoring the Most Sacred Heart, we renew our commitment to live in harmony with God’s will and to spread His peace throughout the world.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!

Solemnity of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist🕊️

June 24, Tuesday🗓️

Today marks the celebration of the birth of St. John the Baptist, a prophet who prepared the way for Jesus Christ through his message of repentance and baptism. He lived an austere life, baptized Jesus, and died as a martyr for speaking truth to power.

Like him, may we encounter Christ and acknowledge him as our Lord and Savior who is the author of all creation. We always welcome God to be in our lives and let the Holy Spirit guide us through the path of his will.

St. John the Baptist, pray for us!
