Career Opportunity: Director for the Anglican Centre in Rome

The Anglican Centre in Rome (ACR) has announced its search for the next Director of the centre, who will also serve as the Archbishop of Canterbury's Representative to the Holy See, based in Rome.

The ACR is the Anglican Communion’s permanent presence in Rome and promotes Christian unity. The centre builds relationships and enables liaison and co-operation between the Anglican Communion and Roman Catholic churches, and offers hospitality, worship and education.

This is a unique opportunity for an exceptional ecumenist. The successful candidate will be a bishop in a member church of the Anglican Communion with a demonstrable commitment to Christian unity.

Key responsibilities include strategic and operational leadership, versatile communication, executive and financial oversight, ambassadorial duties and relationship-building.

The new Director will report to the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Centre’s governors. The successful candidate is expected to begin in January 2025.
