๐๐๐ค ๐๐๐ก๐ก๐๐ ๐๐๐ข๐จ๐ค๐ฃ?
You may say itโs Delilah or the Philistines. The truth is, none of these answers is correct.
Allow me to explain why?
You remember that even if there were 10,000 Philistine soldiers, they couldn't have defeated Samson. And that is because, Samson's strength was not of this world. It was divine. Given to him by Jehovah God(Philippians 4:13). And as long as no one can defeat God, no army could have defeated Samson no matter how strong or how vast they are.
So, who killed Samson then, if it is impossible for him to be defeated, since no one can defeat God?
The answer is Samson.
Yes!!! Samson killed himself by disobeying Jehovah God. He delivered himself to the lap of Delilah and used his own mouth to tell the secret of his power. No wonder Bible says:
โIt is a manโs own foolishness that distorts his way, And his heart becomes enraged against Jehovah.โ - Proverbs 19:3
No body can ruin our life except that of what we do in our own hands. No other people has the power to destroy us. It is our own actions that causes our down fall. Not even Satanโs snare could be blame. Cause, until we press the trigger it won't explode on our face.
Good thing is Jehovah is a gracious and merciful God that He will forgive and โshown mercy those fearing him. . . remembering that we are dust.โ (Psalm 103:13-14) That if we departed from his righteous ways which causes our down fall, we can still turn to Him and He will help us to reclaim our self-worth and anything that weโve lost because of our foolishness.
In the end, Samson choose his own death just to "redeem" himself when he destroyed the temple of Dagon including the people who are worshipers of a false god, but it doesnโt matter because Samson died knowing he has Godโs favor. In a figurative sense, we can also defeat our worst enemy which is our own self by applying Colossians 3:5, which says:
โPut to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatryโ
