A HISTORIC FIRST FOR OUR DIOCESE!
The Diocese of Talibon will hold its First Diocesan Synod!
WHAT IS A SYNOD?
From the Greek words syn (together) + hodos (road/way), a synod means "journeying together."
According to Canon Law 460, a Diocesan Synod is an assembly of priests and other faithful of the diocese, called together by the Bishop to assist him for the good of the whole diocesan community.
WHY HAVE A SYNOD?
A Synod is not just a meeting. It is a moment of listening, discerning, and dreaming together. It is a time for us to listen to the Holy Spirit and to one another as we chart the pastoral direction of our local Church.
This is our Church. This is our journey. Let us walk together.
Stay tuned for more details on our First Diocesan Synod!
