THE PASTOR
To be a pastor is not easy.
It is a calling that requires faith, love, courage, dedication and sacrifice.
The pastor is being attacked by the spiritual enemy, afflicted by the lost and sometimes, even persecuted by the members of the church he is ministering to.
The pastor takes care of the sheep while fighting with the wolves.
The pastor does his best to live a blameless life but is still the center of criticism and gossip.
The pastor often stays up late, diligently preparing the best food for the flock.
The pastor deals with the problems of others while dealing with his own problems.
The pastor often sacrifices personal comfort for the sake of others.
The pastor prays for the church, for the lost and for the whole world.
The pastor's mind is continually occupied with the ministry.
The pastor continues on despite disappointments in the ministry, in himself and in other people.
The pastor continues on despite physical and financial struggles.
The pastor continues on despite abandonment and betrayal.
The pastor continues on even if alone.
