Matthew 18:21-22 KJV

21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

This verse gives enlightenment that forgiveness is not about keeping count of how many times we have been hurt. Apostle Peter thought seven times was already enough, but Jesus answered, “Until seventy times seven,” or 490, teaching us that forgiveness should flow from a heart filled with grace.

Forgiveness is not saying that the pain did not happen or pretending that wounds do not hurt but It is choosing to let God carry the weight of our hurt instead of allowing bitterness to live in our hearts. It is a quiet act of love and obedience, even when it is difficult because the truth is, we have been forgiven by God more times than we can ever count. So in the same way, Jesus calls us to extend that same mercy to others. Sometimes forgiveness is a process, sometimes it comes with tears, but every act of forgiveness makes our hearts look a little more like Jesus Christ’s.

Let us learn to forgive not because they always deserve it, but because God’s grace has been poured out on us and His love teaches us to let go, heal, and be free.

Did You Know?

In the Bible, baptism is consistently shown as being done by immersing the body in water, not by sprinkling. This is the example God has set through His Word.

When Jesus came to John the Baptist, He was baptized in the Jordan River. The Bible says:

Matthew 3:16 (KJV)
“And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water…”

The phrase “out of the water” is Jesus went down into the water and came up out of the water. Also, when Philip baptized the Ethiopian eu**ch, They both entered the water and they came up out of the water.

Acts 8:38–39 (KJV)
“And they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eu**ch; and he baptized him. And when they were come up out of the water…”

These verses show the biblical practice or pattern of baptism. Jesus Himself set the example and His disciples continued to follow it. Baptism is our obedience to the Word of God, that we have chosen to follow Jesus, identifying with His death, burial, and resurrection.

Romans 6:4 (KJV)
“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”

Baptism is one of the biblical steps in God’s plan of salvation.

Acts 2:38 (KJV)

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

Baptism is God’s way of reconciling us to Him. This is an act of obedience and an important part of receiving the promise of salvation and eternal life through our savior, Jesus Christ. Because baptism is so important in salvation, we should understand and follow it according to the pattern revealed in the Bible. Not according to human tradition, but according to God’s Word.

Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

Sometimes we don’t understand what is happening in our life. We make plans, we pray, we wait and sometimes we wonder what God is doing.

But in God’s words, He has never lost sight of us. Even when we cannot see what He is doing, He already knows where He is leading us.

His plans come from love and not harm. His heart is to give us peace, even in seasons that feel uncertain. What feels like a delay to us is never a delay to Him.

If today feels heavy to us, let us remember that Jesus is already in our tomorrow. He knows every prayer, every tear and every hope we carry.

We may not know what comes next but Jesus holds the future, we can trust the One who does. His plans are always good and His timing is always worth trusting, so just keep moving and fighting forward.

As we grow older, our strength may decrease, but God’s strength never does. When we can no longer carry ourselves, we can rest in the promise that God is still carrying us. His faithfulness does not grow old and His love does not wear out.

Isaiah 46:4 (KJV)

“And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.”

One of the most reassuring promises of God is that He never outgrows His love for us. People may come and go, seasons may change and our strength may not be what it once was but God’s faithfulness remains the same.

The God who created us is the same God who will sustain us. He will carry us through the uncertainties, the disappointments, the waiting seasons and even the days when we feel too weary and tired to take another step.

God doesn’t say, Carry yourself until you can’t anymore. but what He says, “I will carry you.” From our youth to our old age, through every victory and every struggle, His hands as a father will never let go of His children.

God never asks us to be strong enough to carry everything ourselves. He invites us to trust Him enough to place our burdens in His hands. Sometimes we forget how far God has already delivered us because we’re so focused on the burden we’re carrying today. But looking back, we can see His hand in every season and if He has been faithful then, He will be faithful now.

Let’s remember that God who brought us this far is not about to leave us now. He is still carrying us, still providing for our needs and still working for our good. Deepening our relationship with God is the best insurance we can receive.

There are days when we feel overwhelmed by life, when worries, uncertainties, and disappointments seem louder than everything else. But verses like John 3:16 remind us of a truth that never changes, God loves us deeply and completely.

Not because we’ve always gotten things right. Not because we’ve earned it. But simply because that is who He is.

The cross is a reminder that God’s love isn’t just something He says, it’s something He demonstrated. When we think about the fact that He gave His only Son so that we could have eternal life, We are humbled by a love so sacrificial, so undeserved, and so freely given.

In a world where many things are temporary, God’s love remains constant. And whenever we lose sight of our worth, our purpose, or our hope, we come back to this. I am loved by a God who gave everything to bring me close to Him.
