"O Mother of Christ and our Mother, we are happy and honored by your visit to our home, which you have made worthy to be the abode of your love and affection. During this time that you will stay with us, please bless our family and always abide with us through your graces.

Beloved Mother, bless this home and all its members, especially those who are absent. Deliver us from all evil, and help us to grow in imitation of your virtues. Ang buong Miyembro ng Immaculate Heart of Mary Council 13538, ay sumasaludo sa inyo ng isang matikas na saludo at buong pusong nagpupugay sa inyong lahat !
Umaasa po ang buong Konseho sa inyong matibay na pundasyon ng Orden na kung saan pina-iiral ang apat na punganahing prinsipiyo. Ang Kawang-gawa Pagkaka-isa, Kapatiran at Makabayan.
Isa-alang alang natin palage na ang pagmamahal at paglilingkod ng may kababaang loob sa kapwa ay pagmamahal sa Inang Simbahan at sa Inang Bayan.

"FRATERNAL MASS and COUNCIL MEETING"

Today's activity (May 17, 2026), Knights of Columbus' Immaculate Heart of Mary Council 13538 successfully held its 11th Regular Council Meeting for Fraternal Year 2025–2026, highlighted by the Nomination and Election of new sets of Officers for Fraternal Year 2026–2027.

The meeting was presided over by Worthy Grand Knight, Bro. Dominador Escojido Jr.

The outgoing and incoming officers would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to the Team EleCom headed by Worthy Past Grand Knight Bro. Francis Cristobal, Worthy Past Grand Knight Bro. Nelson Fermin-Corpuz Bingayen-Duldulao and Worthy Past Grand Knight Bro. Ariez M. Panganiban.

"LECTOR"

Ang lector sa Misang Katoliko ay isang lay minister na may tungkuling magbasa ng mga Pagbasa mula sa Banal na Kasulatan maliban sa Ebanghelyo.

Ano ang binabasa ng lector :
- Unang Pagbasa
Karaniwan galing sa Lumang Tipan
- Ikalawang Pagbasa
Karaniwan galing sa mga Sulat ni San Pablo o iba pang Bagong Tipan
- Mga Pagbasa sa iba pang okasyon
Halimbawa sa mga Vigil, Kasal, Libing.
Hindi binabasa ng lector ang Ebanghelyo. Iyon ay para lang sa pari o diakono.

Tungkulin ng lector :
Ayon sa General Instruction of the Roman Missal GIRM 99
> In the celebration of Mass with a congregation, the readings are always read from the ambo. The lector proclaims the readings from Sacred Scripture, with the exception of the Gospel.

Ibig sabihin, ang lector ay boses ng Diyos sa sandaling iyon. Sa pamamagitan niya, nagsasalita ang Diyos sa kongregasyon.

Paano dapat magbasa ang isang lector.
Hindi lang basta pagbabasa.
Dapat malinaw at mabagal para maintindihan ng lahat. May damdamin at pag-unawa. Alam niya kung ano ang binabasa, hindi robot.
May paggalang,
Bago at pagkatapos magbasa, may maikling katahimikan at bow sa altar.
Nakapaghanda, nag-practice at nagnilay muna sa babasahin.

Sino ang maaaring maging lector.
Mga Katoliko na may sapat na gulang at pananampalataya.
- Nabinyagan at nakumpilan
- May magandang buhay Kristiyano at halimbawa sa parokya
- Nakapag-training sa parokya.

Ang Lector at ang Commentator :
Madaling malito kasi minsan iisang tao lang.
Lector -Nagbabasa ng Salita ng Diyos mula sa Bibliya
Commentator - Nagbibigay ng maikling intro at anunsyo. Hindi siya nagbabasa ng Scripture

Sa Pilipinas, madalas tawagin ding Lingkod ng Salita ang lector.

Kabuoan, Ang lector ay tagapagpahayag ng Salita ng Diyos. Malaki ang kanyang responsibilidad. Sa pamamagitan niya, makikinig ang buong simbahan sa Diyos na nagsasalita.

Ipagpatuloy nating palaguin ang nasimulan ng mga naunang Brother Knights na naglingkod ng may dalisay na puso upang mapanatili ang kasagraduhan ng paglilingkod sa ating Inang Simbahan at sa ating minamahal na Inang Bayan.

Happy Mother's Day mga Momshie!

Ang Pamunuan ng Immaculate Heart of Mary Council 13538 ay bumabati sa mga Ilaw ng Tahanan sa iba't-ibang panig ng Mundo ng isang mapagpalang Araw ng Mga Nanay.
Mabuhay ang mga Nanay, na binansagang "Buhày na Bayani sa iba't-ibang aspeto ng buhay.

Ang pagiging Ina ay isa sa pinakamataas na bokasyon. Hindi perpekto, pero puno ng pag-ibig.

1. Mapagsakripisyo.
Inuuna ang pangangailangan ng anak bago ang sarili.
Handa siyang mapuyat, mapagod, at isantabi ang sariling kagustuhan para sa kapakanan ng pamilya.

2. Matiyaga at Maunawain.
Hindi madaling magalit sa kakulitan ng anak.
Pinakikinggan ang anak kahit paulit-ulit ang kwento.
Naiintindihan na may kanya-kanyang yugto ang paglaki.

3. Maalaga at Mapagprotekta.
Siya yung unang nakakapansin kung may lagnat ka pa lang.
Nag-aalala kapag gabi na at hindi ka pa umuuwi.
Pero marunong din bumitaw para matuto kang tumayo mag-isa.

4. Marunong Magdisiplina na may Pag-ibig.
Ang layunin niya ay itama ka, hindi saktan ka. Mahal kita kaya kita dinidisiplina" ang prinsipyo niya.

5. Tagapakinig at Tagapayo.
Puwede mong sabihin lahat nang hindi ka huhusgahan agad.
Nagbibigay ng payo na galing sa karanasan at panalangin.

6. Mapagdasal
Inilalapit sa Diyos ang bawat anak sa araw-araw.
Siya yung unang luluhod kapag may problema ka.
Ang pinakamalakas niyang sandata ay rosaryo at panalangin

7. Nagpapakita ng Pag-ibig sa Asawa at Kapwa.
Tinuturuan ang anak kung paano magmahal sa pamamagitan ng halimbawa.
Mapagbigay sa mga nangangailangan kahit kapos din minsan.

8. Masayahin sa Kabila ng Pagod.
Kahit pagod sa trabaho at gawaing bahay, may yakap at ngiti pa rin para sa anak.
Ginagawa niyang magaan ang bahay kasi punô ng tawanan at lambing.

Muli, sa inyong lahat mga Nanay sa buong mundo, maraming salamat sa inyong kalalakasan at katatagan ng kalooban upang maitaguyod ang dakilang pagmamahal sa ating mga anak.
