Last June 27, 2026, Iloilo Central Church joined in the worldwide celebration of Public Campus Ministries Day, an initiative by the Seventh-day Adventist Church designed to to equip, connect, and empower students on public campuses to grow their faith, serve their communities, and effectively share their beliefs in a secular environment.
Calaparan Elementary School, located in Zone 15, Brgy. Calaparan, Arevalo, was chosen for the second time to host the event. Fifty (50) Grade 2 students were selected to receive school supply packages filled with daily essentials to aid them in their studies. To inspire and motivate the children, church participants taught them songs, offered prayers, and led an engaging storytelling session. Additionally, copies of The Great Controversy were distributed to teachers, parents, and school staff, bringing a meaningful evangelistic element to the outreach program. The event was also graced by the presence of church pastor Pr. Owen Ray Emen and head elder Elder Edsel Jerez.
We praise God for the privilege of being a blessing to the community. This successful endeavor is the result of a collaborative effort, beginning with the Church Board, whose support granted us the means to move forward. Special thanks also go to the West Visayan Conference Publishing Department for supplying the books, and to Maโam Geraldine Campania and the faculty of Calaparan Elementary School for kindly managing the programโs details. Lastly, we appreciate every participant whose hard work and dedication played a major role in making this event a success.
To God be the glory.
