Only in God will your soul be at rest. Only from him comes your hope.

After doing a lot of things for your bodily needs, take some moments of silence where you can commune with yourself and be at peace within. You need to have a personal encounter with God just as much as you meet a lot of people in everyday's life. The world may give you sustenance but it is only through him alone that you need nourishment to satisfy the inner longings of your soul. Detach yourself at times from your daily concerns and try to refocus your relationship with him and renew once again your fidelity. It is in rekindling your attachment to God that will provide strength in your life's struggles. Leave behind your usual distractions and allow a holy relaxation for an inner change to occur. Know that Jesus never exempted himself from this need. If he did immerse himself in silence, there's no reason for you to evade.

No greater gift can you give to one another than praying with each other.

As prayer is usually your personal attachment with God, try to make it interpersonal in inviting others to pray with you. This creates a kind of invitation that is beyond than just the pleasure of camaraderie but more of nourishing one's soul. Your own connection with God is not just taken as a personal call but also as a group chat. Praying together is not just a taboo or something that you should be ashamed of but also of inviting others to pray for you and praying with you. The act of your invitation is already a prayer itself as you're bringing another soul to God. Prayers are not just self-serving but must also be altruistic to become more meaningful. Know that there is strength in numbers. God promises that where two or three are gathered in his name, he will be in their midst. God is God and he could never lie.

Be wise. As God respects your will, choose the best of what you truly feel.

That which is good can only be known when there is the awareness of its opposite, otherwise, there would be no way to distinguish what is which. God allows evil things to exist in order for us to know what is good. Thus, patience thrives when there is an intimidation for us to become irritant. Generosity effects when there is the tendency to be selfish. Peace can surface when there is turmoil. Forgiveness harmonizes when there is transgression. Loving an enemy can only become a fulfilled commandment when there is an adversary. Heaven will be an all-sought end for a peaceful rest where the fear for an unquenchable torment of hell becomes notable to the senses.

Problems can never be solved by depression but by believing that God provides a solution.

Being easily irritated and disturbed by what is happening around you may be a sign of shallowness of knowing what you are able to manage. Reactions are too fast to lead to anger and before you knew it you had already hurt an emotion or two. Go down deeper and discover how efficient you can be to handle difficult situations. It's not how you react to events that surround you but how you manage yourself to accept realities. You don't extinguish a fire by shouting, than by getting a pale of water to douse it. You don't malign an errant servant, than teaching him what's the better thing to do. It's not about the sickness that disturbs you, but by your inability of how to keep yourself safe. Create an impact of being cool than just being nervous. Don't just overreact but respond. The former is instinctive while the latter is well thought of. Resilience counts most than just covering yourself with your doubts.

There will be a thousand reasons to appreciate life, only if you can just be gentle and nice.

Live for something significant in your life that will be embedded in the hearts of anyone you will encounter. Choose the thought that will enable you to speak that which nourishes and not destructive to one's senses. Be a bearer of good news that will inspire many to appreciate life amidst distractions of hardships that made their lives difficult. Imagine yourself as a music that soothes the hearing and not out of tune. Never wait for someone's breath to expire in order for you to speak about his goodness. Only funeral wakes are a venue for this. Don't wait for one's importance to be felt only when he becomes a memory. A single good word is always better than a thousand regrets. You can only appreciate the beauty of your life in each glow of joy you instill in the faces of those you have inspired. Rejection destroys while affirmation rebuilds. Love can only be reaped if you sowed it first from your deeds.

Before you start pointing your fingers at others, make sure your hands are clean.

How you treat people ultimately speaks about how educated you are when it comes to relationships. Respect to human dignity is always essential to your integrity. A humble good trait is always beyond an arrogant academic excellence. Many intelligent people care less about others' opinions as they rely more in their sense of self. Your importance is always felt whenever you care. Your strength is measured by how you accept hurts. Always make your heart big by sharing your love. Know that you can always be strong but not rude; kind but not weak; humble but shy; and proud but never arrogant. Remain in the pleasure of your silence than bragging who you are. Your actions speak louder than your words. If you can't be kind enough, it's just best to be quiet. God loves a humble heart.

Only fools keep their talents. It's now time to light your lamps.

Small things matter a lot if you put importance to them, particularly, that which you were not used of doing. You can always discover that you can bring smiles to other's faces when you start the grin out from your grumpiness. An unfolding of a new you begins when you are able to share in the joys of others by coming out from your shell of exclusivism and self-centeredness. A new milestone of your life commences the moment you found yourself emphatizing with the sorrows of others despite the stagnancy of stinginess they used to see in you. You don't need a degree to let these become your new-found career. They are just within you, waiting to be exuded as you release yourself from the bo***ge of your isolation. Discover them and you will know the wonders of your hidden potentials become a beacon of hope for others to follow.

Though you've got your dirty linens too, God focuses on what is good in you.

There will always be a lot of faults in everywhere around you and never a shortage of things to complain about. If you mingle with these, it will just make your world dim and transforms you to be a critic rather than be affirmative. Focus yourself to seek for which is positive rather than which is a trash. No matter how bad a person is at your outlook, believe in the small goodness he has still within. It takes an appreciative mind to notice a small good act and a critical one to discuss someone's faults. It is never of your business to know what they kept in their closets, just as you're adamant to show them what's yours. The more you give in to fault-finding, the more you become obsessed by it. Don't add misery to your face, you knew it will never make you look better. Never ruin your happy disposition but humbly share your smiles to everyone without hesitation.

A good life starts with a good relationship. (al)
