Youth Mass | 17th Sunday in Ordinary Time

The San Jose Parish Placer Youth Commission came together once more to celebrate our weekly Youth Mass, filled with young hearts eager to grow closer to the Lord. Joined by our beloved youth and fellow servants, we gathered in faith, unity, and joyful devotion.

Today’s Gospel teaches us to ask boldly for wisdom like Solomon - seeking not worldly gain, but a heart that knows how to love and serve God and one another well. May we always turn to the Lord first in every choice we make, trusting that He will provide all that we truly need.

We give thanks to every single one who joined us in prayer and worship. You are a blessing to our parish family!

Youth Mass | 16th Sunday in Ordinary Time

The San Jose Parish Placer Youth Commission once again gathered to celebrate our weekly Youth Mass. With the presence of our dearest youths and the San Jose Parish Placer Youth Commission, we came together with grateful hearts and a spirit of service to the Lord.

Today’s Gospel reminds us that like Mary, we are called to choose “the better part” - to sit at the feet of Jesus, to listen, and to rest in His presence even in the busyness of life. May we always prioritize time with God over everything else.

We offer our prayers and gratitude to everyone who joined us in celebrating the Youth Mass.

With the presence of our dearest youths, and the San Jose Parish Placer Youth Comission.
we celebrated our youth mass with joyful hearts and perseverance towards our Lord.
The Responsorial Psalm today reminds us that if we choose to be in good grounds will be able to receive a bountiful harvest, which means that we must choose the environment that leads to goodness.

We gathered here today in San Jose Parish Placer for our weekly Youth Mass, while celebrating the 14th Sunday in ordinary time.

We the presence of our dearest San Jose Parish Placer Youth Commission, we successfully celebrated our holy mass. The Gospel tells us that we find rest in Christ amidst our challenges and difficulties in our lives. He will be with us until the end of times so, we must too take action and dwell in our spiritual life.

We offer our prayers to those who seeks rest in every aspects of their journey in life.

Today the Church celebrates the 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time - a reminder that following Jesus is a daily “yes”, not just a one-time decision.

So we gather at 4PM. To be reminded, to be fed, to be sent back into our “ordinary” with something not-so-ordinary: His grace.

Santacruzan 2026: A Celebration of Faith, Devotion, and Marian Love

The San Jose Parish Placer through its Youth Commission successfully organized the Santacruzan 2026 in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary as part of the Month of Flowers Celebration. The activity gathered parishioners, youth, and families in a meaningful celebration of faith, devotion, and unity within the community.

The Santacruzan is a religious tradition that commemorates the finding of the Holy Cross by Reyna Elena and Constantine while honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary. More than a cultural event, it serves as a reminder of the values of humility, faith, purity, and obedience to God. The procession and offering of flowers symbolize the love and devotion of the faithful to Mama Mary and strengthen the spiritual life of the parish.

Acknowledging the strong support and guidance of Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Nelson Zerda, OSA, Rev. Fr. Melitito Pocholo M. Visda Jr., and Youth Leader Christian Angelo Leonor, whose dedication and commitment greatly contributed to the success of the Santacruzan 2026.

Youth Mass | Corpus Christi

Today is Corpus Christi - the day we remember that Jesus didn’t just teach us about love, He became it. Body and Blood, given for us.

With our San Jose Parish Placer Youth Commission, we’re not just showing up for Mass. We’re serving, singing, reading, ushering… trying to walk together toward God, even when it’s messy. Because that’s what “one Body in Christ” means.

The Eucharist isn’t some old tradition. It’s Jesus saying “I’m still here” in the middle of school stress, family problems, and all the stuff we don’t post online. He comes close. He feeds us when we’re empty.

So if your week was heavy, come rest. If your heart is grateful, come say thanks. We’ll be there at 4:00 PM, same as every Sunday.

We warmly invite all parishioners, families, and friends to join this meaningful celebration as we honor the Blessed Virgin Mary through prayer, procession, and community fellowship.

📍 May 30, 2026 (Saturday) – Holy Mass at 3:30 PM and Santa Cruzan procession to follow at 4:30pm around parish barangays

On this Good Shepherd Sunday, we were reminded through the Gospel of Gospel of John, that Christ is the gate and the Good Shepherd who calls each of us by name.

As youth, we are invited to listen to His voice, to follow where He leads, and to choose paths that bring life, not just for ourselves, but for others. In a world full of noise and distractions, may we learn to recognize His voice above all, guiding us to live with purpose, unity, and love.

“Lord, help us to be Your faithful flock,young hearts open, listening, and ready to follow You.”
