LOOK | BROTHER PSALM ASARCE ORDAINED AS REVEREND DEACON

Being ordained marks an important milestone in a person's chapter of faith, and service to the Lord. It is the moment when one is formally entrusted with sacred vocation and a responsibility to serve the Church and its people.

It is more than just receiving a title, being ordained means choosing a life centered on service, faith, and commitment in our Lord. It is the fruit of years of discernment, preparation, and dedication towards serving God and the community.

Today, we celebrate not only the ordination, but also the meaningful journey that led to this moment. May this new chapter be a reflection of dedication, faith, and commitment that brought Rev. Deacon Psalm N. Asarce to this day.

The celebration was held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Salvation, Salvacion, Buenavista, Guimaras this day of our Lord August 24, 2026 and was officiated by Rt. Rev. Christopher N. Macaday.

LOOK | PROCESSION AND THANKSGIVING MASS CELEBRATING THE FEAST OF SAINT ROCH

The Cathedral of Our Lady of Salvation – San Roque Outstation celebrated the Feast of Saint Roch yesterday, August 16, 2026, at the I.F.I. San Roque Chapel, Brgy. San Roque, Buenavista, Guimaras.

The celebration began with a procession honoring our patron, Señor San Roque, followed by a Thanksgiving Mass officiated by the Cathedral Canon Rev’d. Msgr. Rey G. Barredo.

The faithful people gathered in prayer and thanksgiving, honoring the life and witness of Saint Roch and celebrating the continued faith and devotion of the community.

124 taon ng Pananampalataya. 124 taon ng Paglilingkod. 124 taon ng Simbahang Malaya.

‎Sa bawat himig ng mga awit, sa bawat panalanging sabay-sabay na inialay, at sa bawat hakbang patungo sa simbahan, muling nabuhay ang diwa ng pagkakaisa at pakikibaka sa mga misyon ng Iglesia Filipina Independiente.
‎
‎Buong puso at may pagmamalaki na nakiisa ang Cathedral of Our Lady of Salvacion sa Ika-124 na Taong Anibersaryo ng Proklamasyon ng Iglesia Filipina Independiente - Diocesan Celebration, na ginanap sa Tando Covered Gym, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras.

‎Ang pagdiriwang na ito ay hindi lamang para sa kasiyahan, ito ay pagpupugay sa mayamang kasaysayan ng ating simbahan, ng ating pananampalataya, at ang mga misyon na ipinagkatiwala ng ating panginoon para sa atin. Ito ay ang liwanag ng pag-asa, tinig ng katotohanan, at kamay na handang maglingkod para sa ating kapwa.

‎Habang ipinagdiriwang natin ang 124 na taong biyaya at misyon, dala natin ang apoy ng pananampalataya na ibinigay ng ating mga ninuno at patuloy na nagbibigay-inspirasyon sa bawat henerasyon na ipagpatuloy ang laban para sa Diyos, bayan, at kapwa.

Sa loob ng mahigit isang siglo, nanatiling matatag ang Iglesia Filipina Independiente. Isang simbahan na isinilang sa pananampalataya, hinubog ng pagmamahal sa Diyos at bayan, at patuloy na nabubuhay sa tapat na paglilingkod sa kapwa. 🙏

‎Ngayong Agosto 8, 2026, buong puso naming inaanyayahan ang bawat pamilya at bawat mananampalataya ng Cathedral ni Nuestra Señora De Salvacion na makiisa sa ating pagdiriwang. Higit pa ito sa isang anibersaryo. Ito ay isang banal na pagtitipon ng mga pusong iisa ang pananampalataya, iisa ang layunin, at iisa ang misyon. ❤️

‎Halina at sama-sama nating pasalamatan ang Panginoon sa Kanyang walang hanggang biyaya. Muli nating buhayin ang alab ng ating pananampalataya, palakasin ang ating pagkakaisa, at ipagpatuloy ang misyong ipinamana sa atin ng ating mga ninuno. Tayo ang tinig ng katotohanan, ilaw ng pag-asa, at mga kamay na handang maglingkod sa ating kapwa. ✨🤝

‎Ang bawat pagdalo ay higit pa sa simpleng presensya. Ito ay isang patunay ng ating pagmamahal sa Diyos, ng ating katapatan sa Simbahang Malaya, at ng ating pangakong ipagpapatuloy ang misyong ipinagkaloob sa atin.

‎ Magkita-kita tayo sa Agosto 8 at sama-sama nating ipagdiwang ang 124 na taon ng biyaya, pananampalataya, at paglilingkod. 🎉

On this day, we had gathered and witnessed the celebration at our Church through cultural dances and honoring the unwavering service of our Lord in 124 years.

This celebration means a lot to all the faithful people of Iglesia Filipina Independiente and by this, may we continue to uphold the legacy that had been entrusted us to share in each generation.
