As each bud blossoms into a petal withering with a fragrant scentโ€” we celebrate Flores De Mayo in a month-long festival honoring the Queen of Flowers: The Blessed Virgin Mary.

Join us, at Iglasia Filipina Independiente Cathedral of Our Lady of Salvation this upcoming May 30, 2026, Saturday as we celebrate the "Santa Cruzan". Witness the Coronation ceremony of Reyna Elena and the procession of the sagalas.

Alongside the celebration of Flores De Mayo, we will also be celebrating the Culminating Activity of the Vacation Church School(VCS) 2026 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Salvation at 2:00 in the afternoon, where students from different outstations taught by the Youth of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente(YIFI) Cathedral of Our Lady of Salvation will gather for the fruit of their labor spent within 9 days in their respective chapels.

To all the mothers reading this, we see you and appreciate you. From carrying your family's dreams and needs through hardship to working tirelessly.

To the OFW moms celebrating their kids' milestones over video calls despite being miles away. To the stepmoms, foster moms, lolas, and titas who stepped in and showed love as if they were their own. To the church moms whose grace and devoted soul teach us how to be more faithful. Lastly, to the single moms who play every role of two parents and show that love is enough, even when youโ€™re doing it all alone.

Thank you for the kind of love that doesnโ€™t clock out. For teaching us that strength can be soft, and that sacrifice is just another word for love. We are who we are because you chose us, every single day. We salute you for your hardships, and we are deeply honored and grateful.

With hearts filled with joy, honor, and deep gratitude, we warmly and prayerfully welcome His Eminence Obispo Maximo Joel O. Porlares, General Secretary Rt. Rev. Dindo D. Ranojo, and SCB Chairperson Rt. Rev. Joselito T. Cruz to the Supreme Council of Bishops Meeting.

As you gather at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Salvation, Diocese of Guimaras and Martirโ€™s Garden, Sitio Butila, Tinadtaran, Buenavista on May 4โ€“6, 2026, we pray that this sacred assembly be guided by the wisdom of the Holy Spirit, strengthened in unity, and enriched with meaningful dialogue and discernment for the good of the Church.

It is truly a blessing and privilege for our community to host this significant gathering. May your time here be filled with grace, peace, and spiritual renewal, and may the bonds of fellowship among our shepherds continue to grow stronger.

Reliving the sacred story of love, sacrifice, and redemption, the Holy Week reenactment at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Salvation brings the Passion of Christ vividly before our eyes. Each scene reflects not only the suffering He endured but also the boundless love He offered for humanity. As the story unfolds, we are invited to pause, reflect, and enter more deeply into the true meaning of this holy season.

Gathered as one faith community, we do more than witnessโ€”we remember, we feel, and we are transformed. This reenactment becomes a powerful reminder of our own journey of faith, calling us to live with compassion, humility, and renewed devotion.

Here I am, Lord; I come to do Your will.

Last March 28, 2026, a grace-filled and momentous gathering took place at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Salvation during the Retreat, Renewal of Vows, and Commissioning of the Lay Ministers and Acolytes. It was a profound expression of faith and unity, as all clergy came together in one spirit, accompanied by the full presence of every parish and missionโ€”complete and united as one Church.

With the presence of our Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. Christopher Macaday, the celebration was made even more meaningful. In a solemn and heartfelt moment, vows were renewed, and each servant was recommissionedโ€”embracing once again their sacred calling with strengthened faith, deeper commitment, and renewed purpose.

Truly, it was a powerful reminder that in answering Godโ€™s call, we continue to offer ourselves in humble service, guided by His will and sustained by His grace. ๐Ÿ™
