== Jesus frees us from sin, His grace is not a license to sin. ==
The Bible predicted that false teachers will pervert the grace message and turn it into a license to sin. (Jude 1: 3-4)
If you've ever looked at Christianity from the outside, you might have heard the phrase "saved by grace" and wondered, "Does that mean I can do whatever I want and God will forgive me later?" It's an honest question. But the answer from the Bible is a loving but firm, "No. God forbid." (Romans 6).
The message of apostle Paul does not imply that God permits us to continue sinning. Instead, it conveys that God provides us with forgiveness and a path to redemption.
To begin with, the Bible clearly states that we all face a problem we cannot resolve by ourselves: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23 KJV). Sin is not merely about violating rules; it represents a state of being distanced from a holy God. The rightful outcome of this is eternal separation from Him is death - "For the wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23 KJV).
This is the reason Jesus came. He did not come to allow you to remain in a life that harms you and distances you from God. He came to free you from it. - "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed" (John 8:36 KJV).
This is the greatest freedom you will ever experience. It is not the freedom to do sin, but rather the freedom from sin. Apostle Paul described it like this: "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" (Romans 6:1-2 KJV).
This freedom isn't earned by being good, it is received by faith. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV). But this free gift changes us from the inside. It makes us want to live for God, not for our old ways.
Jesus provides you with forgiveness and a fresh beginning. He promises to remove your guilt and grant you a pure heart. This is the genuine freedom you seek.
If you regret your sins and desire this freedom, you can speak to God right now. He is prepared to hear you. Confess your sins to Him, Repent, and Express gratitude to Jesus for His sacrifice on the cross for you. Then, invite Him to be your Lord and Savior. He will set you free.
