For the past five years, the Social Communications Ministry – fondly known as STP-MEDIA TEAM– has been capturing moments, sharing stories, and bringing the Church closer to the community through the power of media.

Behind every livestream, post, and photo is a team of passionate volunteers who serve with heart, creativity, and quiet dedication. Today, the parish honors their five-year journey — one marked by service, growth, and grace. Thank you for bringing us closer to Christ and to more years of service in the Parish Media Team.

The Parish Social Communications Ministry "Parish Media Team" joins the world in honoring the individuals behind social communications ministries, for being servants of the Lord as online evangelizers.

Pope Francis, in his message for World Communications Day, often emphasizes the importance of listening, authentic dialogue, and truth rooted in love. In a world saturated with noise, the call is to communicate not just efficiently, but effectively, and above all, faithfully. We are called to enter into relationships that are not transactional, but transformational. Pope Leo XIV echoed Pope Francis’ Message for the 2025 World Day of Social Communication:

“Let us disarm communication of all prejudice and resentment, fanaticism and even hatred. Let us disarm words, and we will help disarm the world.”

As disciples, we are communicators of the Gospel—not just through our words, but through how we live, how we love, and how we witness to the unity of the Trinity in our own communities.

Let us continue to spread love and faith through our platforms, balancing the progress of technology with empathy and humanity. Together, we can foster genuine relationships and create a more compassionate world through our communication.

JUST IN: The 267th Successor of Saint Peter is POPE LEO XIV in the person of Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost, OSA

Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost, now Pope Leo XIV, was an American Catholic Cardinal-Bishop who served as prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops and president of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America since 2023. He previously served as Bishop of Chiclayo in Peru from 2015 to 2023, and was prior general of the Order of Saint Augustine from 2001 to 2013.

Born in Chicago, Prevost spent the early part of his career there working for the Augustinians. He served in Peru from 1985 to 1986 and from 1988 to 1998 as a parish pastor, diocesan official, seminary teacher and administrator. He was made a cardinal in 2023. In 2023, Pope Francis appointed Prevost as Prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops, a prominent role that has elevated his profile as a potential papal candidate.

He is the first American Pontiff and the first from the Order of Saint Augustine, known as the Augustininans.

JUST IN: “At 7:35 in the morning (Vatican Time), the Bishop of Rome, Pope Francis, returned to the home of the Father” - as announced by Cardinal Kevin Farrell, Camerlengo of the Catholic Church, from the Chapel of Casa Santa Marta

Let us pray for the eternal repose of the soul of Pope Francis and entrust him to the hands of the Risen Lord.

Let us pray:
O God, faithful rewarder of souls, grant that your departed servant Pope Francis, whom you made successor of Peter and shepherd of your Church, may happily enjoy for ever in your presence in heaven the mysteries of your grace and compassion, which he faithfully ministered on earth. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
