"To my fellow Ministers of Holy Communion:

Serving alongside all of you at the altar this past year has been such a blessing. Whether we are serving at a crowded Sunday Mass or bringing the Eucharist to the quiet bedside of a homebound, I am constantly moved by your dedication and reverence.

May the Lord, whom we so reverently serve, fill your hearts with the same awe the shepherds felt on that first Christmas night.

Thank you for your 'yes' to this ministry and for the love you bring to our parish family.

Wishing you and your families a Christmas filled with the peace of Christ."

In the Philippines, Misa de Gallo (Spanish for "Rooster's Mass") is the popular term for a cherished Catholic Christmas tradition: a nine-day series of dawn Masses leading up to Christmas Eve.

Origin: The tradition began during the Spanish colonial era in 1669, when priests scheduled the Masses early to allow farmers to attend before working in the fields and avoiding the midday heat.

Spiritual Preparation: It serves as a nine-day devotional prayer, helping Filipino Catholics prepare for the birth of Christ.

Today's Gospel - 10 Dec. 2025

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ, according to Saint Matthew 11, 28-30.
Jesus said to the crowds: “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves.

For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”

Short Reflection:

In these tender words, Jesus does not call the strong, the accomplished, or the unburdened. He calls the tired. He calls those whose hearts ache from carrying too much—expectations, failures, fears, and the quiet weight of daily living.

🙏 A Reflection on the Great Sacrifice of Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHCs) .

The image of an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, dressed in their white barong, faithfully walking past nipa houses and rice fields captures a profound act of faith, selfless service, and deep commitment that deserves thoughtful reflection.

These dedicated men and women embody the very spirit of the Church's mission, especially in rural and far-flung barangays, and their Sunday journey is much more than a simple trip—it is a pilgrimage of love.

✨ Bringing Christ's Presence

The central significance of their sacrifice is what they carry: The Eucharist. They are bringing the Real Presence of Jesus—the "Source and Summit of the Christian Life"—to those who are physically unable to receive it otherwise.

👑 Serving Our Lord Jesus

Ultimately, the sacrifice of these EMHCs is directed toward Our Lord Jesus Christ. In performing this challenging ministry, they are fulfilling one of the Gospel's most tender commands:
"I was sick and you visited me." (Matthew 25:36)

By serving the least of their brothers and sisters—those confined by illness—they are truly serving Christ Himself. Their faithfulness on the dusty path, under the Philippine sun, echoes the fidelity of Christ, who came to be with us, even in the remotest corners of the earth.

We offer our deepest gratitude and prayers for these Extraordinary Ministers, who truly make Christ present in their parish through their tireless love and great sacrifice.

Good day everyone!

A Quiet and Meaningful Christmas

While we strive to live fully and love truly in this world,
we often find ourselves besieged by calamities — storms, floods, and trials —
many of which are worsened by human greed and neglect.

Yet, in the midst of all these, not all is lost.
For God Almighty sees beyond the chaos;
He knows our hearts, our struggles, and the good we strive to do each day.

This Christmas, as we remember the birth of our Savior,
let us celebrate not with noise and extravagance,
but with quiet gratitude, compassion, and faith.

Let our hearts be our manger — humble, open, and filled with love.
For it is in simplicity and sincerity that the true spirit of Christmas is found.
