“Thou shall not steal.”

Stealing isn’t just about money or property; it’s taking what doesn’t belong to us: time, ideas, credit, trust.

Why does God hate stealing?
1. It hurts others
2. It shows lack of trust in Him
3. Jesus teaches generosity
4. It violates God’s ownership
5. It destroys trust

One act of stealing can damage friendships, businesses, even churches. Once trust is broken, it can take years to rebuild.

Stealing comes in many forms:
• Taking physical property
• Dishonesty
• Corruption
• Stealing time
• Stealing credit
• Even stealing from God

The root? Greed, envy, and lack of trust in God. It begins in the heart before it becomes an action.

When we choose honesty, generosity, and trust in God, we build stronger relationships and honor Him. Let’s live with integrity, respect others, and show the world that Christ’s love is greater than greed.

REFLECTING THE FATHER'S HEART

Matthew 7:11–12

Jesus reminds us that if imperfect people know how to give good gifts, how much more will our Heavenly Father give what is good to His children. God's goodness is far greater than ours. As Romans 8:32 shows, He proved His love by giving His own Son for us.

Because we have received His love, we are called to reflect it. 1 John 4:19 says, "We love because He first loved us." Kingdom people do not simply receive God's goodness—they actively share it through kindness, compassion, and love.

This is why Jesus gave the Golden Rule: "Do to others what you would have them do to you." It reveals the culture of God's Kingdom and reflects the Father's heart.

When we trust God's goodness, receive His love, and extend that love to others, we become reflections of our Father's heart.

SPIRITUAL CAPTIVITY
John 8:34-36

Spiritual captivity is anything that controls us more than God does. Whether it’s sin, fear, shame and guilt, or darkness and oppression, these forces can hold us back from living in freedom. Yet Scripture reminds us that Jesus has already broken those chains. He forgives, empowers, and brings light where there was once darkness.

God sets His people free through truth, repentance, the cross, and the Holy Spirit. We all face captivity in different forms, but before we even recognized it, God had already prepared the way of freedom. In Christ, we are no longer bound; we are set free to live fully in His love.

Victory of Mother's Faith
Hebrews 11:23-27

A mother’s faith carries tremendous power. Long before children understand faith, they often first witness it through a praying mother, a worshipping mother, a sacrificing mother, and a trusting mother. This kind of faith sees God above fear, entrusts what is most precious into His hands, and influences generations toward eternal priorities.

Mothers today face many challenges; uncertainties about their children’s future, worldly influences, financial struggles, and sickness. Yet victorious faith refuses to bow to fear. Like Jochebed who entrusted Moses to God, true faith surrenders what is most precious, believing that God’s hands are safer than our own. Such faith perseveres through difficulties and shapes children who honor God above all.

As we celebrate Mother’s Day, we honor the quiet victories of mothers whose faith has carried families through trials and pointed generations toward Christ. One faithful mother can influence countless lives, and her surrendered faith becomes a legacy of love, strength, and eternal hope. This day is not only about appreciation; it is a reminder of the powerful role a mother’s faith plays in shaping the future. 💗

Micah 6:6-8

We are made in God’s image. This means every person carries dignity and worth. Our calling is to protect that dignity and to show God’s love in how we live. Authority is not given to crush or control, but to lift up the weak, defend the helpless, and fight evil by choosing good.

Through Christ, we are made new. He teaches us to see people not as problems, but as brothers and sisters created by God. With humility, we honor others, we walk in the light, and we shine as salt in a world that often feels dark. Our lives are meant to point back to Him; showing kindness, standing for truth, and living with grace.

GOD’S WARMTH
James 4:1-12

Just like a campfire that brings comfort in the cold, God’s warmth surrounds us even when life feels empty or dark. When we cannot feel the warmth of His presence, He is still near. All we need is to speak to Him, to open our hearts, and to communicate with Him in prayer.

God invites us to draw closer, and He promises to meet us there.

What is our next step to connecting more with God?
1. Tell God to be nearer to you.
2. Show God by following His commandments daily.
3. Praise God by worshipping with intent to connect.
4. Serve God in the church or community.
5. Learn more about God with the Bible.

Above all, remember this: God will comfort you when you seek Him. His warmth is always ready to embrace you, just as a fire gives light and heat in the cold night.
