Doane Baptist Church of Villa is a local and independent church that aims to glorify God through the promotion of His worship "in spirit and in truth", the evangelization of the lost, and edification of the redeemed. To this end we are committed to proclaim the Gospel and the whole council of God and to defend "faith once delivered unto the saints" beginning in Villa, the island of Panay, the Philippines, and throughout the world.

𝐁𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 is not a monument you visit; it is a movement you 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧. It is a 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 where we go on serving God.

‎In the dark era under 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐉𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐦, Judah sank into spiritual complacency, deaf to God’s Word despite having scripture, priesthood, and prophets. Yet the 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 in Jeremiah 35 stood as a living testimony—faithful without such privileges.
‎This reminds us that 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 is never measured by how much of God’s Word we hear, but by how much our lives we 𝐲𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 and 𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐲.

‎𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 in 𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 means 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 of God's instructions, ingrained 𝐚𝐝𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, and 𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 intently—pliable hearts reshaped like clay, proving lifelong submission to His will.

𝙀𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢!

Are you struggling under the heavy weight of legalism, trying to force compliance out of fear or religious duty?

This is an encouragement to step into 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 by looking at what Christ has done for you, allowing His love to become the reason you obey. If you are exhausted from trying to obey in your own strength, discover 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 by surrendering to the leadership of the Holy Spirit, who empowers you to live for God. And if you long for a deeper experience of God’s presence, walk in Spirit-led obedience and experience 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, a lively and dynamic relationship with our Lord.

Let us be people who obey not out of fear or legalistic duty, but because we are deeply in love with our Lord, led by His Spirit, and enjoying a living relationship with God!

Obedience is not just a matter of human effort or legalistic duty; it is the natural outcome of faith. Faith is the premise that makes obedience possible.

𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗹𝘆 trusts God enough to obey even when we do not know what lies ahead. 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 trusts His promises even when His plans unfold beyond our timing. 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 keeps its eyes on the heavenly promise and faithfully continues the journey without turning back.

When your life is built on 𝙁𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, you may not look like the world around you, but you will live in obedience to God, walk with steady feet, an unshakeable heart, and the divine assurance that God Himself will not be ashamed to be called your God!

𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗯𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗷𝗼𝘆𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. Whenever we become pigheaded and refuse God’s correction, we only hinder the blessings He desires to give us.

God calls us to surrender because 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻. Even when we wander, 𝘏𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘶𝘦 𝘶𝘴.

𝙈𝙖𝙮 𝙬𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙖 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙗𝙗𝙤𝙧𝙣 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩, trusting that God’s plans are always greater than our own. As we submit to Him, we become vessels ready to receive all that He has prepared for us.

𝗪𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝙬𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙨. James reminds believers that while we wait for God’s timing and the return of Christ, we are called to respond not with impatience, but with steadfast faith and prayer.

As we journey through these seasons, we are called to move 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, trusting that God is at work even when we cannot see it. We are also encouraged to become 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿, carrying one another’s burdens and seeking God together through every circumstance. Lastly, we are challenged to be 𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀, knowing that effective and earnest prayer is not reserved for a few but is the privilege and calling of every believer who faithfully seeks God’s will.

May we remain confident that our prayers matter, for God hears and works through the fervent prayers of His people as we patiently trust in His perfect timing.
