Master Guide Club | Basic Water Safety & Swimming for Beginners 🌊🙏

Last July 19, 2026, our Master Guide Club gathered at Gelasan Inland Resort Guimbal, Iloilo to put into practice the lessons we learned in Basic Water Safety and Swimming for Beginners. It was more than just learning how to swim—it was an opportunity to develop practical life-saving skills, build confidence, and strengthen teamwork.

As future Master Guides, we recognize that every skill we acquire is a gift from God and an opportunity to serve others. Being good stewards of the Lord means faithfully developing our abilities so that we are always prepared to protect, help, and minister to those in need. True dedication is shown not only in what we learn but also in how we use those learnings to glorify God and bless our communities.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” — Colossians 3:23

📍Lubacan, Guimbal, Iloilo

Today, our Master Guide journey brought us to the Lubacan Seventh-day Adventist Church in Guimbal, where we were blessed to spend the entire Sabbath—from Sabbath School program until sundown worship - in fellowship, learning, and spiritual growth. Masterguide Freshia Carmillee Ritz Gandullas was our divine service speaker wherein she motivated and inspired every listeners to level up and put on the gospel armor when in service to the Lord.

We were privileged to learn the principles of preparing and delivering a meaningful sermon through the insightful session of Master Guide Joenel Subigca, reminding us that God's message is best shared through a heart surrendered to His leading.

As the day drew to a close, we shifted from the classroom to practical skills. Master Guide Kim Euver Magcanam conducted an engaging session on Basic Water Safety,emphasizing preparedness, responsibility, and saving lives. This was followed by an informative Swimming for Beginners lecture by Master Guide Grussel John Jadera, equipping us with essential knowledge and confidence in the water.

Every lesson learned today is another step in becoming better servants, leaders, and witnesses for Christ. Grateful for the knowledge shared, the friendships strengthened, and the opportunity to grow in faith and service.

CERVUS MASTER GUIDE CLUB | June 20, 2026 📍Tigbauan

Today, we, the Master Guides in Training (MIT), had the privilege of traveling to Tigbauan to deepen our knowledge through inspiring lectures on Stewardship and Storytelling.

The lecture on Stewardship reminded us that stewardship is more than simply taking care of what God has entrusted to us—it is a way of life. It means accepting the Lordship of Jesus Christ, knowing Him personally as our Lord, our righteous Judge, and our Savior, and faithfully living according to His will each day.

We also learned how Storytelling serves as a powerful tool in children's ministry. Through meaningful and engaging stories, we can share biblical values, strengthen faith, and help children understand God's love in a way that leaves a lasting impact on their hearts.

It is truly a privilege and a blessing to continue this journey as Master Guides in Training. Every lesson we learn equips us to become better servants, stronger leaders, and faithful disciples of Christ. As we continue our training, may we grow in wisdom, humility, and dedication, always ready to answer God's call to serve.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 3: •Devotional •trust walk •trust fall •Awarding & •Homeward bound

"When uncertainty comes, faith is tested.”

The Cervus Club participate in a faith-testing activity led by the Master Guides, designed to strengthen trust and deepen faith in Jesus. Through a simple yet powerful exercises like the trust walk and trust fall, each participant experienced what it truly means to rely not on sight, but in faith of Jesus.

As reminded in 2 Corinthians 13:5, “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.” This moment encouraged the newly inducted members to reflect- Is my faith genuine? Do I truly trust Him even when I cannot see the path ahead?

The outcome was clear: a growing, sincere faith planted by God in the hearts of these young people. In every step taken blindly and every fall caught by others, they learned that trusting Jesus means letting go and believing He is always there.

The camp just ended but the calling has just begun.
What seemed like the last day is truly the beginning of something greater. A beginning of training, of growth, and of a calling to lead and serve others with Christ at the center.

Guided by the promise in 𝑯𝑨𝑩𝑨𝑲𝑲𝑼𝑲 3:19, “The Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to tread on the heights,” the Cervus Club is reminded that their strength does not come from themselves, but from God alone.

This camp wasn’t just an adventure—it was training, discipline, and transformation. Every challenge shaped us, and every moment taught us.

This special occasion signifies an important step in their journey toward becoming full-fledged Master Guides, reflecting their commitment and preparedness for the path ahead.

The Cervus Master Guide Club proudly stands with these aspirants as they continue to grow in leadership, strengthen their faith, and live out a life of integrity. Congratulations to all the new inductees—we eagerly anticipate the journey that awaits you!
