CONCLUSION:
The question we are to ponder is not simply…
“Are you a Christian?”

It asks:
“In light of God’s mercy, how are you living?”
If God has forgiven you—give Him your life.
If Christ has redeemed you—give Him your body.
If God has shown you mercy—do not conform to the world.
If God has given you His truth—let Him renew your mind.
And if your mind is being renewed by God’s Word—live according to God’s will.

If you have received the mercies of God, you have every reason to live your life for God.

CONCLUSION:
Acts 2:42 gives us a picture of the priorities of the first church.
They were devoted to doctrine, fellowship, worship, and prayer.

The early church was powerful not because they were powerful people, but because they were dependent upon a powerful God.

A church that stops praying begins to act as though it no longer needs God.

But a praying church says:
“Lord, we cannot do this without You.”

Prayer is not preparation for the ministry. Prayer is part of the ministry.

CONCLUSION
We may not understand every detail.
We may not know exactly how every part of God's plan will unfold.
But we know the character of the God who holds the plan.
He is wise.
He is faithful.
He is merciful.
He is sovereign.
He is glorious.
THEREFORE:
Have a Proper Understanding that leads to humility. Don't be wise in your own eyes. Have a proper perspective See everything through God's mercy and faithfulness and learn to trust God. And our proper response is worship.

CONCLUSION:
This passage assures us that God's sovereign plan cannot be thwarted. Israel's stumbling served a gracious purpose: to bring salvation to the Gentiles, to call believers to humility, and to demonstrate God's power to restore. Therefore, let us worship God's wisdom, remain humble in His grace, and faithfully proclaim Christ, knowing that God is still gathering His people according to His sovereign purpose.

Pastoral REMINDER: If you have wandered from Christ, do not remain where you are. Run back to Him today. Genuine repentance always finds a gracious Savior, and those who truly belong to Christ are called to persevere in faith and holiness.

CONCLUSION:
THIS... reminds us that God never abandons His covenant purposes. Though many in Israel rejected Christ, God graciously preserved a faithful remnant according to His sovereign grace. At the same time, those who persisted in unbelief experienced God's righteous judicial hardening. This passage humbles us, for salvation is entirely by grace, and it warns us not to take God's patience for granted.
THEREFORE, let us give thanks for God's sovereign grace, remain faithful even when we are in the minority, trust His greater wisdom when we cannot see His purposes, and respond to His Word with believing hearts. Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart. Flee to Christ, for all who come to Him He will never cast out (John 6:37). May all the glory belong to God alone.

CONCLUSION:
CHURCH, this reminds us that God saves people through the proclamation of the gospel. Faith comes by hearing the message of Christ, so the church must faithfully preach, send, and share the good news. Yet this passage also reminds us that not everyone who hears will believe. Some will respond with faith, while others will harden their hearts. Even so, God's Word never fails, and His gracious invitation continues to go out to all nations.
THEREFORE, let us be a church that is passionate about missions, faithful in evangelism, and compassionate toward the lost. Let us pray that God would open blind eyes, soften stubborn hearts, and use us as His messengers. Above all, let us rejoice that the same grace that called us is able to save Our family, friends and the world. May we faithfully proclaim Christ, trusting God to accomplish His saving purposes for His glory.
