Last Sunday, our congregation gathered in awe to honor the Lord. First, in our Sunday school, we continued with Q4 of WSC: The Holiness of God.
DEFINITION:
The holiness of God means that God is completely pure, morally perfect, separated from all sin, and utterly unique in His being and character. He is glorious above all creation and worthy of all worship.

As Sunday school ended, our congregation proceeded to our service, led by our pastor, on his topic, "What Christ Accomplished, The Spirit Enables."
Text: Romans 8:1–11
I. What Christ Accomplished For Us (vv. 1–3)
II. What The Spirit Enables In Us (vv. 4–11)

Conclusion:
Because of Christ, the believer is no longer condemned; and because of the Spirit, the believer is no longer controlled by sin. What Christ accomplished at the cross, the Spirit now applies in the heart and life of every child of God. Therefore, the Christian life is not lived by human strength, but by resting in Christ and walking daily in the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Value and Importance of Prayer in the Church
POINT: Prayer is the fuel of the church and foundation of all success. It forms us into the likeness of Jesus Christ and point us to the glory of God.

Our 20th Lord's Day begins with our Sunday school, where our pastor discussed Q4 of the WSC: The Power of God.

Biblical definition of the power of God:
The power of God is His infinite and sovereign ability to accomplish all His holy will.

As Sunday school ended, we proceeded to our service, led by our pastor on his topic, "The Sinner's Wretched State."
Text: Romans 7:13-25

Below are the main key points:
I. The Sinner is bound by the flesh (vv. 13-17)
II. The Sinner is driven by indwelling sin (vv. 18-23)
III. The Sinner is defeated by the power of sin (vv. 24-25)

Conclusion:
A sinner is wretched because:
He is born in bo***ge to sin.
He is dominated by indwelling sin.
He is powerless to win the war within.
But the message does not end in despair. The question, "Who will deliver me?" has an answer. Jesus Christ alone delivers sinners from their wretched state.

May the Lord be honored and glorified.

Last Sunday, our congregation convened to honor the Lord. First, in our Sunday school, pur pastor discussed the fifth clause of WSC Q4: God’s Wisdom.

Confessional Definition of God's Wisdom:
"God's wisdom is His eternal and perfect attribute whereby He infallibly knows and ordains the best ends and the most fitting means to accomplish them for His own glory." Text: Romans 11:33

After Sunday school, we proceeded to our service led by our pastor on the topic: God’s Good Law and Our Need for Christ.
Text: Romans 7:7-12

Three key points:
I. God's law reveals the sinner's sin (v. 7)
II. God's law stimulates the sinner's rebellion (v. 8)
III. God's law shows the sinner's condemned condition (v. 9-12)

CONCLUSION:
God’s Law is not your enemy—it is your teacher, mirror, tutor, and guide. It does not save you, but it shows you why you need a Savior. “God’s Law is good—because it leads us to the greatest good: Jesus Christ.”
So the proper response is:
Humility – we are sinful
Conviction – we need cleansing
Faith – we run to Christ.
Obedience – we now live for God.
FOR...
“The Law is good—not because it saves us, but because it leads us to the only One who can: Jesus Christ.”

As our service ended, we partook of the Lord's Supper and fellowshipped over lunch, celebrating this month's birthdays as well.

May the Lord be honored and glorified.

**Sunday Recap**

Yesterday, our congregation gathered in awe to honor the Lord. We began with our Sunday school, discussing the third clause about who God is: WSC Q4: God is eternal.
What does it mean that God is eternal?
To say that God is eternal means He exists without beginning, without end, and without succession of time. He is not limited by time—He created time and stands above it.

As Sunday school ended, we proceeded to our service, led by our pastor, on his topic titled,
"Freed from the Law, Bound to Christ."
Text: Romans 7:1–6

**Transition**
So how do we live a life of obedience to God?
To live in obedience to God, you…
The following are the three key points:
I. Must Be Released from the Law’s Bo***ge
(Romans 7:1–3)

II. Must Be Reunited with Christ in New Life
(Romans 7:4)

III. Must Be Renewed by the Spirit’s Power
(Romans 7:5–6)

CONCLUSION:
If you have been bound to Christ, then you are truly free—and now, you are finally able to obey.

Because we are united to Christ in His death and resurrection, we are freed from the Law’s condemnation and empowered by the Spirit to live a fruitful, obedient life for God.

May the Lord be honored and glorified.
